Frederik Nielsen,a doubles player, is the first COVID casualty of the Wimbledon fortnight. He has been deemed a close contact of his coach, who tested positive on arrival at the hotel. Both must isolate for ten days.Nielsen has been withdrawn from Wimbledon doubles draw,Neilsen/Skugor will be replaced by Lammons/Withrow.

Here is an interesting page from Universal Tennis Insights. They give the percentage chances for each player to reach various rounds. They claim to have figured this out using simulations. Their percentages are much different from the bookies. For examples, these guys think Tits has the second best chance to clinch the trophy. Also, these guys are giving Fed only 1% chance to win and only 30% chance to get to the second week.

They're using UTR which only counts results in the last year, so I think that is why it is so negative on Federer.

While it does use UTR, I think they are using current UTR.

I just meant that only the results in the last year count for UTR. Federer has only played 8 matches in that time in which he didn't play that well so it thinks he isn't that good. It doesn't for any of his success prior to this season.

You may be right. They say it is based on 30 matches played in the last year. Not sure whether they have any tweaking of that to accommodate the pandemic situation.

First set to Draper! The kid saved like 1000 break points across the set. Oh, and Djokovic slipped about 8 times.

OK, @Fiero425, who always complains about Nadal cheering his opponents errors...the kid just totally whiffed the ball on break point, and Novak screamed and pumped his fist like he'd won the set. So you can just put that crap away. They all do it.
