Here is the update on odds just one more time before the draw comes out tomorrow.

1. Novak 10/11 ~52.38%
2. Medvedev 39/5 ~11.36%
3. Titsipas 44/5 ~10.20%
4. Federer 27/2 ~ 6.90%
5. Berretteni 17 ~ 5.55%
6. Sasha 23 ~ 4.17%
7. Rublev 50 ~ 1.96%

Others with 1% or more chances in order are as follows: Shapo, Nick, Sinner, FAA, Cilic.

Here are the significant changes:

  • Novak's odds went up by about 10% and for the first time in Wimbledon, Novak has better odds than the field.
  • Federer's odds dropped from 10% to 7% and is still drifting.
  • Thanks to Queens, Berretteni is gaining steam and even managed to leapfrog Sasha.

It's gonna take a miracle to stop Novak... someone like Quarry or Isner to catch Novak early..or rejuvenated RBA or Nole killer Stan otherwise just hand the freakin title to the Serbian..

Below is the layout for my perfect Wimbledon before the draw comes out

1st Round:
Djokovic draws Murray in the first round, who defeats him 13-12 (23) in the fifth set saving 17 match points. After the match Murray jokes that he only got down so many match points so Djokovic would know how it felt to blow match points. Later that day Medvedev loses 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 but still clinches world number 1 after he won Mallorca and Djokovic lost. Federer wins comfortably against below 500 ranked British wild card.

2nd Round:
Djokovic, so angry at losing, retires from professional tennis, simultaneously declaring himself the GOAT anyway. Federer struggles but still wins in straight sets against another British wild card (all three players in his section were British wild cards).

3rd Round/ 4th Round: Federer wins in straight sets twice , this time against a pair of qualifiers who record a few upsets.

QF: Federer plays Diego Schwartzman. The other quarterfinalists are Murray, Nishikori, De Minaur, Tsitsipas, Zverev, and Monfils. Federer is down 2-0 but comes roaring back as the pressure gets to Schwartzman who can't get any free service points. De Minaur beats Murray, Monfils beats Tsitsipas, and Nishikori beats Zverev.

SF: Federer beats Nishikori in an easy three, rediscovering his form. Meanwhile Monfils beats De Minaur 6-3, 6-2, 5-7, 5-7, 9-7 where De Minaur shows great fight but Monfils defeats his demons.

F: Federer beats a tired Monfils 6-0, 6-2, 6-1. In the finals ceremony Federer says he plans to play to 50.

Nadal just laughs and laughs back home in Spain. Djokovic unretires from tennis a week later onces he has cooled down.

Novak has a dream draw to the finals.................

I have done a projected Q/finals ( if the seeds hold up)

Novak vs Rublev
Tsitsipas vs Bautista Agut
Zverev vs Berrettini ( my hope and Kskate to win his first GS title Matteo that is not the German)
Medvedev vs Federer.

Just took a quick look at the draw.

I don't have much complaints about the draw Fed was dealt.

Most important are the first two matches for Fed as he needs to find his way to form. Fed faces Adrian Mannarino in the opening round. While Mannarino is a flashy player, he is not known much as a winner. In the second round, Fed faces Gasquet or Sugita and I am not worried about either of them.

In the third round, Fed has a tricky opponent in Cameron Norrie who is a recent finalist in Queens. However, I would not complain as it is good to face some tough (but not overly difficult) opponents early so that you get tested. In the fourth round projected opponent is PCB (as I wished). However, it could be Sam Querry or Sonego. But, I am less worried about the 4th round than the 3rd round.

As I wished, Fed did not fall in Nole's half. It is also a good thing that Tits is on top half (don't they usually :)). Given that Fed had to face both Sasha and Med, it does not really matter in which order he faces them. Actually Fed has 3-0 record against Med whereas he has losing record 3-4 against Sasha (inlcuding one loss on grass courts). So, I think it is actually a blessing that Fed got drawn into Med's quarter instead of Zed's quarter. Finally, it is highly probably that Med will not last that long considering the potential obstacles he has (such as Struff, Cilic, Hurkacz) on the way.

The major problem is that I don't see anyone that is capable of stopping Novak. He has a mildly tricky big server Anderson in the second round. However, Anderson is currently ranked outside top 100 and is unlikely to cause an upset. Rublev (whom Novak has never faced) has some chances on grass, but he is basically a ball basher and also commits lots of UFE. The best bet is for Tits to stop Novak (but Tits has a losing record 2-6 against Novak and his two wins came in lesser tournaments). If that happens it would be especially nice. Assuming Tits faces Federer in the finals (I know Fed may not get that far) he would have the added problem of recovering from the euphoria of winning against Novak.

p.s. I will post new odds after the market had time to digest the draw.

Djokovic could meet Murray in the semis lol. 2 chances of Murray making the semis, none and f**k all. Honestly, if he makes it past Basilashvili in the first round I'll be surprised and impressed and that's not meant as a bash on Murray btw, it's just being 100% realistic which the link below clearly isn't.

I agree with Tignor that Berrettini has good chances of winning the third quarter.

Whether or not Berrettini wins that quarter, I think Sasha will not. There is Ugo, Nick, FAA and all in this quarter.
I think I'm gonna volunteer my time at the local senior citizen nursing center.. probably can find some Interesting chess matches rather than watching two or three weeks of non Rafa tennis.

I think Rafa will strongly prepare for USO. He knows years are coming and RG is not sure win any more. Also i think Djoker is in good way to get Laureus 2022.
