Craig Tiley,Australian tournament director, has just, confirmed,as he launches the AO 2022, that players will need to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus to take part in the AO 2022.( as I preciously posted with no crowd caps).

I hope Djoker will skip Ozzy, that is why he is on Davis Cup. If he also take Finals, Medvedev wont catch him even with Ozzy win, and Djoker can take some tour on 500, 250 level.

It's more about own health now than trophyes. Here Jelena should be asked too, she wont let him neither, but as i read his book, he must be far from taking a vaccine.

Jelena and Novak should stay true to their health care beliefs and tell the officials at AO to kiss the Djokovics backside.

That seems to be what El Dude and Front think he'll do, (based on previous posts,) because they share his skepticism, and feel it's a position worth holding up. I will admit that my prediction, that he will get vaccinated and go to Oz, is more cynical and ambition-based, as my presumption on his part, but it's easy for me to say that, because I have no problem getting vaccinated. I guess the rubber is about to hit the road in tennis, on this issue, and it's not just Novak that might decline to play the AO. He'll just be the poster child.

To be clear for the final time,it was not up to Tennis Australia to make decisions on vaccinations okay
It was the directive of the Premier of Victoria,Daniel Andrews and the health officials of Victoria to make the decision.
If you read my previous post when Andrews said he would not make any exemptions for unvaccinated tennis players to play at the AO in 2022 and he has stood by that, also he said he could not expect that all people working at the AO and fans coming into the AO had to be double vaccinated and make exemptions for unvaccinated tennis players? that would be two faced

All eyes are on Djokovic now to see what he decides to do. He said he would wait to hear what the final verdict was from Oz. Well, it's in. There will be others, of course, who may also bow out, but he's the one everyone is looking at.
Apparently he was asked in his pressor after his s/final about playing at the AO....his reply was....We'll see?

I completely understand that, and my post has nothing to do with what the govt of Victoria choses to do, v. Tennis Australia. It was about personal choice, and really kind of just what people around here are predicting. I'm saying that those who seem on the vaccine-resistant side think that Novak will stand by his principles, which they happen to agree with. I'm saying that, however cynical it may be of me, I think he'll go with his ambitions, get the vaccine, and go to Oz. But he IS still hedging his bets, as you note from his post-match presser. And he's running out of time, if he has yet to get double-vaccinated, and get to the 2 weeks after the 2nd shot to be fully immune. If I look at the calendar, and assume he hasn't been vaccinated at all, he basically had to get his first jab tomorrow, and the next one in a month in order to arrive in OZ with full immunity, per government protocols, if they hold with the notion that you have to be two weeks past your 2nd jab to be fully immunized. Tick, tick, tick, Novak.

Novak has the right to his opinions re 'Covid Vaccination',as other players do.,though when you are travelling to other countries you have to abide by their health rules, the world is still in a world wide pandemic,Europe is now having outbreaks again, due to the fact they are coming into Winter, which is a concern.Melbourne was the most 'lock down city in the world',they are just coming out of hard restrictions, still getting over 1,000 cases a day, even with most people are double vaccinated around 70%.I understand we all have to live with COVID in many ways,we cannot be shut down forever, still we have to be viligent still at all times.Agree Novak will have to get vaccinated ASAP if he wants to play at the AO in 2022.Though he is playing for Serbia in the up coming Davis Cup.

I don't disagree with anything you say. I was just postulating on the thinking right now, for him, and for his supporters, esp. as to what he might decide to do. But it's time to decide. Now, he hasn't said that he HASN'T had a vaccination, he's only said that he doesn't feel like he has to reveal it. Well, the time is coming.
