Australian Open 2022 won't adopt the ATP's new toilet break rules, which have been designed to stop players using the bathroom break as a tactical move.Australian Open is governed by the ITF,not the ATP or WTA,the rules have not yet been adopted for the first Grand Slam of 2022.
"Grand Slam rules will apply"a Tennis Australia spokeperson said.
Grand Slam rules state that players are permitted to take two toilet breaks in the best of five set matches, for a 'reasonable' amount of time. The WTA has not yet inidcated it will take the same stance, not have the other Grand Slam tournaments.

Craig Tiley,Tennis Australia seems confident that Novak will play at the AO in 2022,he says Novak is very competitive, the AO is by far is best Grand Slam,he has the opportunity to win his 21st GS title.

I bet Novak is vaccinated already but after to talk so mucho against the vaccine he doesn't want to say it but he will play the AO for sure
Novak was asked after the s/final loss at Turin if he was going to play at the AO 2022,now that all players have to be vaccinated he said 'we'll wait and see'...he has always said he dosent need to declare if he has been vaccinated or not.

He doesn't´t want to say it in public but if he plays the AO it means he is vaccinated because I don't think they are going to make any exception with anyone

Of course if he plays it will mean he is 'vaccinated'.The Victorian Premier has already stated there will be no exemptions for any tennis players to play in Melbourne at the AO in 2022,if they are not fully vaccinated,Tennis Australia has no authority or cannot make any exemptions for any players,it is up to the Premier and the health officials in Victoria to make the rules.

Davis Cup set to move to Abu Dhabi in five-year deal. It's the sort of outcome that many people feared as soon as the ITF accepted the Kosmos bid in 2018

Due to ongoing challenges created by the pandemic,it has been decided that Brisbane will not host any of the Australian Open lead events in 2022,also means the ATP Cup will not take place in Queensland in January.

Yep, that "finger wag" was so memorable; sorta like that woman who signaled "1 point" @ Wimbledon in 2019! It's all Karma for the Faux GOAT! :lol6:
She was hilarious, wasn’t she? She looked the epitome of the nice smug, expensive chocolate munching layabout who’d love old Wodger. @Front242 loves only the most delicious foreign chocolate, I heard. :lol6:

I don't think he was going to get vaccinated before he had to, at the very least. And he may or may not yet, I guess we'll find out pretty soon, but he can always say that he was forced to, in terms of compromising his principles. But I do think ambition will win out, for him.

It is a shame as Spain has already lost Bautista-Agut to an abdominal injury. The rest of the Spainish team has undergone PCR tests today.
