He also said he hopes to play after Abu Dhabi,a lead up tournament before the AO....Good news from Nadal, he says that he is working hard because his plan is to play Abu Dhabi and then the AO. Hope he will start 2022 much better than 2021, no more injuries please!!!!!!
He needs to play before the AO, he has been too many months out of the court and needs a good preparation before the AO but hope he doesn't´t play too much.He also said he hopes to play after Abu Dhabi,a lead up tournament before the AO....
Abu Dhabi is just an exho tournament,I agree he needs to play a tournament before the AO.much needed 'match practice'.He needs to play before the AO, he has been too many months out of the court and needs a good preparation before the AO but hope he doesn't´t play too much.
All I want to see is that he brings his practicing buddies Sinner and Carlos A back to Mallorca to play against the current best young players in the world.Abu Dhabi is just an exho tournament,I agree he needs to play a tournament before the AO.much needed 'match practice'.
Another one of those huge wastes of talent! Kei challenged and beat Nadal on clay! He obviously made a name for himself by upsetting Novak at USO in 2014 making the final, but going down to Cilic! He has all the shots with a big serve and good stamina! His problem is his body's betraying him! Some people can't abuse their bodies like Nadal and Djokovic! I'd think people would at least take Nole's lead in stretching! It was something I never did as a junior or senior; even from the start of the day! I warmed up on court! The most I might do to get the heart rate up by taking a lap or 2 around the court! I never did any of that very beneficial stetching of the legs on the net, doing squats, stretching the arms behind my head with the racket! I just never did it,, but somehow I only had a couple bouts of abdominal strain! At times I would over-arch my back like Edberg! You get into a serving groove and the next thing you feel like your guts are about to push thru your belly! The only other troubles I had had to do with racket choices! Some can exacerbate "tennis elbow!" By 1996 there were few rackets out there that could actually hurt an elbow or shoulder even approaching 40! End rant!Kei Nishikori has withdrawn from Stockholm tournament next week with a back injury.Kei said he is looking forward to having a strong pre-season training to make 2022 a great year.
Quite frankly I do not think Kei's body is made for tennis, like how many times has his body parts have been injured,he does play a offensive style of tennis, gets in a good position in a tournament, then gets injured, either has to retire or withdraw. He is exciting to watch when 'on' though he is not getting any younger, again it seems his body has let him down.Another one of those huge wastes of talent! Very good news..Dominic Theim is to make his return to competitive tennis at Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi, December 16-18 December.
Very true Margaret ..Especially with the advanced technology and equipment..Borg wasn't too much bigger than Kei but he played acourse in a different era and he had long athletic muscles like Roger's development of his body. Kei is the Glass Samurai..yes ma'am it's a bit cruel but it is what it is.maybe he should have "added" more to his physical training, IMO.Quite frankly I do not think Kei's body is made for tennis, like how many times has his body parts have been injured,he does play a offensive style of tennis, gets in a good position in a tournament, then gets injured, either has to retire or withdraw. He is exciting to watch when 'on' though he is not getting any younger, again it seems his body has let him down.
To be accurate, you're probably remembering a Madrid final when Nishikori was bossing Rafa, but his back (?) went and Rafa ended up winning. Of KN's two wins over Nadal, they came on HC.Another one of those huge wastes of talent! Kei challenged and beat Nadal on clay! Bottom line.....don't hit and breaks the rackets, you or someone else could hurt
