I think Novak was not happy with his performance in the s/final,probably said that in the 'heat of the moment' after the match.
He tends to act like that when he loses. A bit petulant. We'll see what he really decides.

Could see from how cleanly he hits the ball that he's definitely not a fluke since the AO. Backhand is super impressive and today what impressed me most was his return of serve and the depth on some of the shots on service returns was nuts. There was one in set 3 when it hit the back of the baseline and jumped up awkwardly and Djokovic just shook his head. He's fast becoming my favourite player after Federer. Still like Medvedev also when he's playing well.
Some of his ROS on Novak was astonishing.

There were rumors earlier he would not play in Madrid,he is still on the entry list, let's wait till he calms down.I know he will play Rome, fans love him there and he plays well.

Berrettini 5-0 up on Daniel. The LL's run ends here, it seems. Good to see Matteo playing strong tennis again.

I knew Djokovic Karatswv match had potential of being great and it was. More than 3 hours of tough battle, most of it was good quality. Novak clay game is too weak, QF of RG max with his current form. King Aslan too strong for Nole.
It is far too early to determine the level of Novak or Nadal or even Roger at a Major. Bo5 is a whole different animal for the all-time greats. As it is for the also-rans who win a few against them in the tune-ups.

Two interesting finals tomorrow, for rather different reasons. Seeing Novak gliding and Rafa struggling this week was already interesting, and then to see who was still in his respective tournament was, well, what it is.

Barcelona final:

Nadal v. Tsitsipas: Stefanos hasn't dropped a set in a couple of weeks, and looking to throw down a marker. Rafa in his house and playing rather, but not wholly better. Interesting final.

Belgrade final:

Karatsev v. Berrettini: Unexpected Karatsev, and trending, versus the trying to get back to his ways Italian. They both hit the cover off of the ball, though Karatsev seems to have more variety. Will he have a sink after the biggest scalp of his career? Is Berrettini ready to get back out of the shadows and remind us he's a contender?

I hope it's sunny for the final in Barcelona and Rafa is able to make Tsits suffer..I miss RG 2020 Rafa's game.

Rafa Tsitsipas should be a blockbuster final and I'm looking forward to watch that one. Also Aslan Berettini interesting as well. I will root for the greek and the russian.

As a Italian my heart belongs to Berettini.Aslan match was a very long physical encounter with Novak? can he display that same toughness with Berettini?

I will record both matches as I am off to work.Hoping both matches are competitive.

Oh, hey, AP...how exciting. Can't help you. Tsitsipas just lost his first set of tennis in two weeks, and I'm pretty sure he's wondering what just happened.

Tsitsipas lost the 1st more than Rafa won it.
He showed nerves when it most matters, the problem of most non-big3-player.
He had the game to win the first set.
I think he will melt down in the 2nd after this disappointment.

Darn it my sister..I see the score Rafa was down a break. That's ok as long as he wins..

It's 90s at 8:30 in the morning here. Too hot for tennis. Jajaja but it's beautiful here

Karatsev starts with many errors, same like yesterday.
Let’s see if there is fuel left after the yesterday war.
