Another break for the Greek, how long will it last this time?

No doubts anymore, Nadal back on clay track.
Even with b game, nobody can match him on the dirt. Just wow.

Nadal is playing probably his worst tennis since 2015, absolutely weaponless This whole match is on Tsitsipas racket since the first point and yet the greek almost chocked it numerous times.

Nadal is playing his D game at best. Only part of the game wgere he is better in this match is at the net.

As bad as Nadal has been, I think this is overly harsh. On my TV, Jimmy Arias said that Tsitsipas was the better player in the 1st and lost and Nadal was the better player in the 2nd and lost it. It hasn't ALL been Tsitsipas, by a long stretch. You're just used to a better Nadal than this.

This match and yesterday’s match with Djokovic are a preview of what things to come in non-slam matches. Djokovic and Nadal will both have up and down momentum within the match. That’s the byproduct of being “old” just ask Federer

Rafa wins an even dozen in Barcelona. Well, that wasn't pretty, but he got it done. Tsitsipas showed a lot of will to win, though. Glad for that. Well, @don_fabio, you were hoping for 2 good finals and this one was, and it looks like the other one was too.

Tsitsipas coudnt beat c-version of Nadal.
How could someone in RG, haha.
Congrats to Rafael Nadal. It was so important to him and his confidence, he celebrated like it was a slam and not a 500 event.

Tsitsipas said to Rafa after his win,

Rafa, bravo. How many is that? 28?.28 Barcelona titles is not bad.I'm really jealous". :)

That was a confidence booster for Nadal, I'm sure Rafa did not want to lose to Stefano on red clay after losing that hearbreaker on the hardcourts of the AO. Tsitsipas blinked and he's going to rue his lost chances tonight.

Having said that, I do think Stefanos on form looks more like a top 4, SF contender for Roland Garos. Indeed, how close is Tsitsipas from grabbing a #4 ranking from here to the French Open?

Theim is a huge question mark and both he and Medvedev with his COVID status are going to be in all likelihood less than ideally prepared for the best of five test at RG. It will be interesting to see how the seedings/draw pan out for the French Open, especially with a rusty Federer grabbing a qtrfinal slot. It makes a huge difference to the rest of the players if Rafa goes in seeded 3rd as opposed to 2nd.
