Big hold there from Zverev. I want to see them both fight for it.

Sasha is over-playing, which he wasn't doing early. Be more patient!

I don't think either player should have TOO many regrets, now that this is playing out as a good match, but, should it come to it, this is where I'd like to see the USO move to a later TB than 6-6, at least in the final.

A woman in the chair for this men's final and a man was in the chair for yesterday's women's. I think the USO has been mixing it up more than the other Majors, but I could be wrong.

This is intense. It is nice to see this kind of tennis from non-Big Three. It isn't as pretty, and the commentators made a good point that a Rafa-Novak match would involve one trying to beat the other rather than this more defensive approach, but still.

P-mac trying to make the argument that these guys might be served by conservative play and waiting for the other to miss. I get not always going for broke, but I think he's basically wrong.

Man, if Zverev lose this match after leading 2 sets up...

As for Thiem, great fight back from him. It would have been a tough swallow if he have lost this match in straight sets.

Thiem is the last hope of Lost Gen - and the last member, as I see it. Even if he loses, I think he'll win a Slam or three, but I just don't see anyone else of his generation having a chance. You have to get to players born in 1996, or maybe '95 if we think Kyrgios will ever seek therapy, to have a chance.

Yeah, I agree. One of these guys needs to step up the intensity and just go for it. I wouldn't want to leave it to the crap-shoot of a tiebreaker. If Thiem holds here, I expect he'll be more offensive next game.

Or maybe Zverev is taking that step right now. I'm loving the heart I'm seeing from him.
