Should this come to a TB, Thiem has never really found his serve, and that could be the difference. Except then there's Zverev's double-faultitis.

Surprisingly, Thiem looks more exhausted. Zverev is slowed a bit but seems ok.

Someone asked the question who would a loss impact the most negatively. I don't think either. Both are ready. Zverev will be even more hungry, and will have a taste of the big time. Thiem is already maxed out, and just waiting for his moment. Both will win Slams and be dangerous.
That was me, and I did reassess it. Now that they've both played well, I think it's neutral.
