Sorry but I really think you guys are seeing what you want to see. The final is the final, but if I am Zverev or Thiem, and I just saw that match, I would step in the court liking very much my chances.

I hope so. Belief is half the battle. They've both got wins over him in big matches over the last couple years. They can certainly trouble him. But I also accept that I'm in a habit of expecting the the people that come up against the Big 3 in these big slam matches to fail. And until they start consistently proving the past wrong, I'm not gonna have too much faith in them. But I absolutely hope Thiem beats Zverev and comes out and blows Djokovic off the court. I'd love to see him get his first slam. I believe he has the game to do it. He certainly believed against Rafa. Hopefully he has that same inner confidence against Zverev and Djokovic.

But while I do think Djokovic looked frustrated and struggled to start. He looked amazing as the match went on. He's dropped all of one set here I think. He's near his best. He's confident. It'll be an uphill battle for whoever comes through to meet him.

I mean.... it's a thread for this match. I'm aware that some are asleep. Because I should be asleep. Obviously I don't do every game. But some may want to see some specifics of how the match went down. And I'm aware that it can be annoying. I don't claim to be perfect. I know I can be long winded. And I also don't claim to care if it bothers you.
bla bla bla, you mental? see a shrink or something.

Just let 2 matches get out of hand and couldn't possibly be at his best tonight. Probably still would have lost even if he was though.
get this right, he didn't let 2 matches get out of hand, those guys were soundly beating him and should have sent him home much earlier. Secondly, you don't know what his best is....its a bloody myth that cant be proven. Woulda or woulda not, what do you know? you don't, so stfu.

Djokovic steps on Federer like a bug just like I said.
he got 13 games, respectable....which is not what can be said about you. Even your idol, Fed has stepped on him like a bug since like 2014 everywhere except clay. still bragging?

Just like you said? Everybody knew that Djokovic was favorite to win the match. But thanks for reminding us of your excellent prediction.

Workmanlike.
Did what he had to do to win. Novak didn’t push it to the 5th gear, but then again he didn’t need to.

I thought some idiots here said Roger deliberately lost some previous matches so he could avoid Djoker. Now in this shape and form being the biggest underdog ever, Fed has not checked out and decided to show up.

Injured and still almost reached 5-1 in set 1. Incredible tbh. If he hadn't bottled that set who knows what would have entailed.

Thiem has a REALLY good shot to win if he makes the final imo.

Novak wasn’t pushed to the limit yet. It’s his title to lose.
I wish the Austrian peasant wins the SF. Like him more to lose against Novak.

Couldn't watch the match. I was mad busy today, but never doubted that Novak could lose this one. Even if he lost the 1st set, he would probably roll over Fed for another 3. I really like Novak's level here, he looks so confident. As I said a few moths ago when he won Wimbledon, he will need 1 slam in the next two to stay in the slam race. Now there is just one more step left to win AO.

Yes my friend, one left. He was not tested so far, that’s my only concern. Dont know how he will react when pushEd out of his comfort zone.
On the other hand, if he can’t handle the last opponent, he didn’t deserve the title.

I think you are right. Both will have better chances than Roger or Nadal.
Not meaning they will win.
