Djoke in 3 sets or Fed gives a walkover. He didn’t practice today which indicates he’s still too injured. Another day probably isn’t sufficient to gain his health.

"humanity" means yourself in this case. Classic, even pathetic example of total ego-centrism. Will you ever wake up mate, and understand that your opinion/emotion is nothing but just yours? And that "humanity" is not you?
The fact is that even within a sample of said "humanity" represented by people on this forum, almost all do not share your pathetic opinions. Does such fact mean anything to you?

And yet if you look back to post number 4 in this thread you actually "liked" his post. Maybe it was temporary insanity, your hand slipped or a cat walked over your keyboard. Otherwise, I completely agree with what you wrote above. The guy is a looney choon.

This will be a destruction. Maybe Novak has a letdown in a set because of his respect for Roger but if he's playing well I really don't think it will be close. Funnily enough I think Novak would beat Fedal in very straightforward fashion but might find it harder against the other guys remaining in the draw.

can't believe 33.3% went with Djoker in 4 sets. Smart money is on Djoker in straight, dropping about 5 games. Fed's level is so low, its not even close to being inside top 50. Just look at his serve speeds, the non stop fh errors, bh shanks, lack of pace overall...the only thing going for him has been his unlikely match toughness (and luck), the only reason he is even in the tournament.

Honestly. I'm just hoping he suits up. He went out and kept playing against Sandgren hoping he'd feel better or rain would come or Sandgren would play worse and he outlasted him and survived. If he feels like he can play at all, even if he's not entirely healthy, he should have to go out there and play and possibly take his drubbing, after snatching that match from the jaws of defeat. That's what he fought for. This match is what he fought for. It's not enough to be the oldest man to make an AO semifinal. He should at least play it. However, I don't think he gets drubbed unless he's not 100%. Or maybe even being 90%ish he should be able to give a good account of himself. But unless he wakes up and can't move, he should play.

And if he is healthy, there is something to be said for players playing on borrowed time. He nearly lost 2 matches. He may feel it's all gravy and be able to play free and open. And if he can feel that way, that's probably the only chance he has to actually win it, even if I don't think he'll get drubbed. Novak looks great. And to keep him out of the final Fed will have to find something special. The only way I think that happens is if he takes the pressure off and allows himself to enjoy the battle and enjoy that he's still out here kickin.

If it happens. I can't wait for this one. I mean. I'm not confident about Fed's chances. But it's still their 50th match and I don't miss these. And while there may yet be a few more. There won't be another 50. Probably won't be another 10.
The reason I don't think Djokovic drubs Fed if Fed is healthy is because these two know each other so well. Even with Fed not having his best this week, he knows how to play Djokovic more than he knows how to play Millman or Sandgren because he's beaten him 22 times or more. They've played 49 official times. It's 5 set tennis. IF Fed suits up and is healthy, he could still lose in straights. But I imagine at least one of them would be close. I think it'll take Djokovic at least 4 sets though. How many times have we seen these guys play poorly through the first week only to find their best later in the second week. I'm not saying Fed can find it. I've been saying for months about Fed and Serena, a little on here, more elsewhere, that obviously they're still amazing. They are pioneering being top notch over 35 and approaching 40. But their still barreling towards 40. Finding that special sauce at 38 is hard. I wouldn't know. I'm not there yet. But I've seen them and saw Agassi and have friends and obviously family and you get on up there and especially physically it is just harder. I feel it and I'm not as old as Novak.

I don't think Fed will win. Obviously Novak is the favorite, even if he hadn't looked as good as he has. And even if Fed can find his best, and while Fed has 6 titles here including 2 recent ones, Djokovic is theoretically even better here than he is at Wimbledon. So it shouldn't be as close as it was at Wimbledon. Logically. Even if Fed did beat him at the ATP finals. But sport isn't always logical. Even if these 3 have made it seem that way more often than not. So I do have hope that it's possible for Fed. But mostly just because I'm hoping he can play with that borrowed time mindset. Again. If he's even healthy.

Some people should really realize that Federer is not injured. Everything was perfectly fine and then all of a sudden when he gets the code violation warning he makes a big scene incidentally when his opponent was facing a breakpoint, then his opponent paints the lines again so Federer out of nowhere takes a timeout to throw off his rhythm and regroup. All this was caused by the whole code violation drama and his opponent’s play. Of course now he will use this “injury” as an excuse since he is facing his master. That’s if he actually shows up for the match.

Yes. And he deliberately barely moved for the 3rd and 4th sets to trick everyone.

I hope Roger is actually fit enough to play this match, but even a niggle is a bad sign for him. If he could bring the form he brought to the YEC match, he'd have a chance. However, and I'm not one to get into the surface arguments, it has been widely said that the surface has slowed this year, (largely thought to benefit, if there is meant to be a beneficiary, Ash Barty; but as a side benefit, it suits Novak. Much less so Roger.) If it happens, Roger gets a set at best, and that if he's feeling mostly fit, and Novak gets cranky.

Why do you hope/want Roger to win the semi final? I guess you feel sorry for him because he is injured.

I'm saying that I hope he could play and make a match out of it. And I have always said that I root for Roger when he's playing Novak, unless it's the final of a Major. I won't pretend that I don't like to see someone beat Djokovic, but I surely don't want him to move on via not having a good fight due to impairment.

Fed didn’t practice again. Three quick sets is my prediction if he plays at all

Can I make an observation regarding 'groin injuries' this is from my medical background, the best solution is to rest and get treatment daily, rather than go out and practice.

I see. You root for Federer against Djokovic before a major final, but once they play in a major final you switch to Djokovic. It makes sense.
