This is a bad loss for FAA not because Humbert is a bad player, but he himself could not play his own level. That should make him upset. This was a winnable match and he missed a date with numero uno.
Look, he is young and is a learning process. People sometimes are expecting too much too soon.
He will be fine.

I have seen equally, if not more, offensive posts from you with foul language in the past.

I'm sorry but what? I have never acted in any misogynistic way ever so to say you've seen something more offensive would imply something serious like racism in which case seriously, get out of here with that nonsense because there's no way I've ever said that.

Nadal shouldn't have won any, let alone two. B and C are pretty combined, of course many Nadal fans think Federer was top class in his first grass court loss in 66 matches. It is a performance from Roger that hasn't aged well. I mean when you see him out here in his late 30's generally playing at a higher level than he did that day... People are easy to mistake close great match with a great performance.

Naturally us Fed fans are the loudest this time of year due to what is seen as a butchery of a grass court major, one which has obviously hurt our favorite and greatly helped his rivals. Of all the slowing down of the courts it is the most impacting change that has given the other two a huge leg up in the GOAT race.

@Federberg

Exhibit A :)

The over rated hack went 40/60 vs big 3, if a hack has done that, what do you call other players?.

...I call them players ranked in the top 30.

And I never said I was unbiased. I literally said tennis experts can be biased like you and me in an earlier post. Good talk as always.

With all theses seeds dropping, would be shocked if Big 3 don't all make the semis

By the way, at the beg

Was there a doubt about Novak? Not in my mind.

I had a glimpse of doubt but from I what I have seen till now he is by far the guy playing the best tennis.

Djokovics draw has completely opened up.

He didn't even need the help
True enough, both points. The few speed bumps I could see are out, and RBA, though he's beaten Novak a couple of times this year, seems like a hope in vain.

Summarizing the day, the two performers of the day are Pella and Humbert.
Neither were in the second week in a slam before, Humbert was not even past R2.

Both have taken much higher ranked players out, for me Pella is the most surprising, because he is a clay courter.

Federer should have already been out of the tournament by now if Wimbledon didn't manipulate the seedings! He would have been the one to meet Kyrgios in the 2nd round and he would have probably lost the match. If not, then he would have definitely been injured and knocked out by that 100 mph forehand that Kyrgios would have hit at his chest since his reflexes at the net aren't as good as Nadal's.

Except that, apparently, he's not "just" a clay-courter. I saw the man at net, and volleying creditably well.

Dipping into this thread every once in awhile is about as fun as dipping into a political argument mid-stream.

Ok, stay corrected, he "used to be". But seriously, until now he has not produced much on grass.

You're not wrong to think so. (I didn't think he'd win that match.) He seems to be in a cadre of late 20-somethings who are finding their range. He's had a good year.
