Tsonga looks pretty fat and out of shape. All the injuries and father time have not served him well. He's really slow and timing on the ball is well off. Very error prone.

When you see how well Nadal and Federer are still playing compared to say 2008/2009 which were Tsonga's best years there's a massive difference in how Tsonga plays now compared to back then. Federer's match should be much more competitive. Turned off Tsonga v Nadal. Rubbish match.

I don't think anybody expected a Tsonga win here mate. Kyrgios was always the biggest hurdle for Nadal in the opening week.

Not in the slightest but more than anything it's pretty sad to see how he plays now. Hit a ball with a sharp angle or deep into the corners and he hasn't a hope of running it down he's so slow.

Pretty fat? maybe through your TV because in mine he looks ok. Anyway remember that a few days ego he gave a tough time to Federer in Halle, he was close to send him home

Yeah, I know. He dropped the first set the other day and then promptly reeled off 3 in a row. I'm hoping for a similar day
Matteo played well bellow his form on grass coming into Wimbledon in the first 2 sets.
Aside the second TB, most of the match I was extremely frustrated with what I have seen from him.
Schwartzman took him out at RG easily, Matteo needs to cut down on the UE count to beat the Shortman.
He should be able to, he has all the weaponry to get through this.

But ... I thought this was going to be a Tsonga upset. So he’s going to come back from 2-6, 3-6, 1-4 down, right?
And speaking of predictions, I suggested Kukushkin over Struff, which is currently listed as "suspended," but it's the only one that is. Any ideas?

Someone fainted on that court according to a twitter user I follow

Well, everything is relative. He's not couch potatoe fat but he's carrying more weight than he was a few years ago and there's no denying he doesn't move anywhere near as well now and is pretty damn slow. The court was a good bit faster in Halle but Federer didn't play particularly well so he made it closer than it should have been. This is nothing against Nadal, I wasn't expecting Tsonga to do any better than he has here, maybe win 2-3 more games max but that's it. He's really slow and no way he's taking 3 sets off any top player on a court this slow after multiple knee surgeries.

Tsonga served at 75% iirc in that Halle match and wasn't missing +1 shots like today.

It's easier to redline on B03

Looks like Jo hurt his pinkie at the end there with a fall. Could barely hold his racquet.

Oh God, peasant moves on to second week.
I asked above for the odds on the Fed match, just as comparison, since you only gave the Rafa ones. Maybe you missed it. What odds do they give Pouille? (You said they gave Jo-Wil 15%, Nick 25%.)

Pouille can be tricky as he knows Federer's game well from practicing together and he has a pretty good serve.
