Have a good sleep mate. I can't see De Minaur making any miraculous comeback - he's overmatched, plain and simple.

Cilic / Verdasco could be fun though.

KK was one of my three younger guard players that I've been pinning hopes on to make a splash this year. Zverev and Tsipitas being the other two.

i know it's easy to be wise after an event (hindsight), but perhaps young Alex shouldn't have played the Sydney lead up tournament. To me he looked spent after the opening long game of the 2nd set.

Hard to say mate, but I don't think the organizers did him any favours with scheduling here after his semi and final in quick succession in Sydney.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrows game with Alex Bolt, an adelaidian (like me, where we just came off 4 days of 40 degrees heatwave) versus Alexander Zverev. If the leftie Bolt plays and goes for his shots on the crucial big points as he done so versus Simon, I'm going for the upset.

You saying that's why the score looks like it does?

Agreed. No player with real aspirations plays the week before a major unless there is a serious crisis of confidence.

This guy may have his day (if he puts on some serious muscle) but he's not a contender yet.

Good fight from Alex at the end. Rafa rather hilarious with McEnroe. Back to bed.

Nadal is looking very strong. I think he might go all the way. If Novak reaches the final (not convinced this will happen), he has his work cut out for him.

Verdasco snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

Cilic wins from two sets down and saves two match points en route to victory.

Lol, poor Verdasco.

If that was to happen nadal would just beat Djokovic.

A lot of people move faster than Roger. Fed would have to bring his worst stuff to lose to Tsitsipas at this point. Time for Roger to hit #21

the only way federer wins AO this year is if Djokovic gets injured or Nadal does not make the semis.

Thats because of the curse, federer put on nadal, federer and his wife are into black magic ha ha ha ha, but lets get real federer can not beat nadal with how slowly the courts are at the moment.

The courts aren't slow it's the balls that are playing differently. They apparently don't take spin well either making it more of a dead bounce. Anyways I'd say it's still faster than IW and Miami.

Well that M.ebden said about One of the courts So might just be one the main courts. Whatever federer still cannot beat nadal with his new serve.
