Why do some players hit a ball across the net after he end of a game?
Don't you think it's often that they were ready to return the exchange, but it goes out, etc.? Does that bother you?

They tried to open it on Laver, and then they closed it again. It appears there was some water on the court, so it may still be drizzling.
I'm going to make a thread. I have a lot of questions. Even the commies/sportswriters think they haven't quite figured it out. But it does seem that it started to rain.

Tsitsipas won the 3rd in TB. That has to feel at least fair.

What do you mean by returning the exchange? It doesn't bother me at all. I am just curious.

I mean that the player is set up for the return, which maybe it goes out or long, but they hit it anyway, because they were set up to, and also, to me, you have to, in case of an overrule. And because it's their inclination...to return the ball. I find nothing offensive about it. I think it would be a bad habit to stop playing just because you think you know it went out. IMO, the last stroke in this case is habit. And I don't think it's a bad one.

I think you misunderstood me. They flick the ball across the net after the game has ended and after the umpire has already called the score.

Meaning when he plays Rafa? ;)
No. Fritz is a different kind of player. He is trying as many shots as he can from his repertoire. There are tough opponents, before he can even think about Rafa.

Well Roger's level had to drop because the first set was ridiculous. Fritz is actually better than I figured. First set wasn't really his fault.

Fritz played a damn good game there until that smash, making Roger move like crazy

The young can hit the ball very well. He is becoming more confident.

This guy has way more potential than Tiafoe or the other young Americans IMO. Seriously impressed after getting steamrolled by a video game Fed in set 1
