I guess he'll play Laver Cup. (Not sure at all what goes on with Davis Cup this year, tbh.) Yes, I think the wedding will keep him out of the Asia swing, which is just as well. Come back refreshed and play Paris and WTF...could be a good formula!

The ideal formula is when he comes back from his honeymoon, he will be world number 1, play two matches at Paris (then withdraw), play WTF (and hopefully wins it), take a well deserved rest again, plays 2020 AO and wins it for a second time ;-):

What about playing for Spain at Davis Cup this year?

I see Djokovic not on the list; thank goodness! "Just rest and assess!" Playing this mess didn't do him any good last year! He went thru the motions losing his matches! He might as well not even go to Switzerland to cheer on the team! The rankings look to be going down to the wire yet again! Nadal needs it more to solidify his approaching Roger's big number! He has no YEC and he's way behind in weeks @ #1! These 3 are going to be inextricably linked for all time even though many think "Tennis" = FEDAL! :nono:

Well if Novak has to have surgery, which is still not confirmed, forget about Laver Cup as a cheer leader, just concentrate on getting himself fit for 2020.

Hope Rafa doesn't play in Asia, only Paris, WTF and probably DC too

And about Novak's surgery is only a rumor from a reporter but without any basis

I don't think Rafa needs to win WTF to finish as YE #1. He already has closed to 2000 points lead in the race rankings over Nole and with the injury scare of Novak, he is not probably going to outperform Rafa by that many points in the remainder of the season.

p.s. If Rafa achieves YE #1 again, all members of the big three would have reached YE#1 exactly five times, a perfect three way tie.
I should strengthen your opinion above: "with the injury scare of Novak", esp. if the rumours of Novak's season end are true, Rafa is more than 100% sure to finish #1 in 2019. We can already congratulate Rafa.

Just saw a report/clip on YouTube reminding me that the "Big 3," Fedalovic are tied w/ 54 major titles; Majors, Masters 1000's, & YEC's!

You must be a devotee of @mrzz, who likes to divide options into 3 halves, at a minimum. ;)

Rafa however leads because he has the Olympics Gold. The ATP doesn't include it because it's not officially "ATP", but he definitely leads as it is a major title too.

It’s amazing how he goes from the next option is surgery and the season is over to ready to hit the Asian tour swing ..
Yep, amazing......apparently he doesn't need any surgery because the injury is not so bad
