Well if they both have to agree why would Nadal agree with that?
No they both have to agree to open it, or it stays closed. Present conditions.

I'm not sure how many have complained. The questions have been asked, by everyone. It's reasonable to discuss. I know you're feeling especially bitchy right now, but you might keep it to fair on the Nadal threads and save your bile for the Fed ones. Or not, because that's you.

I'm not being bitchy here, and plenty of Nadal fans, yourself included, have been adamant that the roof is open. It's alright to badly hope for your boy to have an edge, he needs that ball bouncing high, no?

Take a Xan, you very well know what I mean about "no pressure!" He was in control of the point and missed inexplicably; that's what's meant by "No Pressure!"
I don't take Xanax. I still think saying "no pressure" in any way, shape or form doesn't describe this match, or the moment for both.

It is speculation, maybe they both wanted it closed but I doubt it for Nadal.
Alright. I don't ride the spec train. I will check in some time tomorrow and see how the match is progressing

After the first set, it looked like Rafa was in command most of the time, even though Novak came out ahead. In particular, Rafa picked up his serve, had tons of winners via DTL forehand and had some nice droppers.

I am glad that it would continue with roof closed. But, Novak still needs to get it done in 4. If it goes to 5, I would give advantage to Rafa even with roof closed.

Agreed, this is really about Nole tomorrow. It's one thing coming close to winning the first huge match he's been in for two years, it's a whole different thing when it's time to do it. Indoors he has the game to finish this no question, but Rafa will ask him a lot of questions mentally and physically tomorrow.

I asked if they could start with the roof open, and I wondered if they could have it opened tomorrow. It's not a plea, it's a question. Yes, I think the roof open helps Nadal, because he plays better in outdoor conditions, and Novak less-well so. But it's still just a question. Did I get indignant about it? Untwist your panties.

"Real pressure" was on Nole who had to save 2 set pts when any of those hideously ugly "framed" shots of Rafa's could fall in on him!

Have you seen Carol? Also I will admit some other Ralphy fans haven't complained about it but they acknowledge how much it hurts Rafa. He is struggling against 90% Djoker without his precious high bounce. And I will bitch about the tournament in general, worthless change of surface in 2002 led to all these stupid long rallies.

It seems the match tomorrow will be payed Indoor because apparently that's the way Novak wants and the only way it would be opened is if both players are agreed. Now I hope more than ever that Rafa wins this match because this tournament is OUTDOOR and Novak is an IDIOT!

Sort of silly to say that it's not about Rafa tomorrow, but OK. Anyway, I fear that SW19 district code may run out of ice, as they'll all 3 need to be in an ice bath tonight.

I was trying to tell you long ago that perhaps they try to finish the match in the same conditions as they started. Novak would be an idiot if he agreed to open the door and not the other way around.

Carol is one Rafa fan. Don't paint us all with the same brush, please. I'm able to distinguish you and Monfed from Federberg and britbox, for example. ;)

He survived a lot of pressure to win that TB, I agree, but they both are under a lot of pressure to win this match. Don't kid yourself, or shine me on with that crap.

Mox, if Nole plays anything like the first set it's over. We all know the matchup dynamic when Nole is at or near his best. I will admit that the level he had in the first set would've toppled Roger here even if Fed had got to the final in decent form. The reason I think Roger would've won that final, and the reason I think Nadal will win tomorrow, is that Nole mentally and even physically (fitness-wise) isn't all the way back.

The match is on both their rackets, and not much separated them in the end.

However I do think Rafa better keep his serve amped; I felt Djokovic wasn’t reading it as well in the 3rd set as the first set when he had all those BPs seemingly every Rafa service game.

As to the playing conditions the hypocrisy is so thick; of course fans prefer the best optimal conditions which favor their players strengths, that’s just common sense. There Was all The moaning and bitching about the slower playing grass ad nauseum.... Even bitching because Wimbledon weather had the audacity to have had nice sunny days with no rain delays, oh the inhumanity!, Clutching the pearls.

The players have to adjust; that’s Wimbledon.

I do think both Rafa and Djokovic have so far delivered the goods. Not that that it will stop the moaning and bitching...

My more extreme fellow Fed fans FB and BB will appreciate that :yahoo:
