The roof was closed because was too late and they needed some light but this tournament is OUTDOOR so it would be too silly if Novak would ask for the roof

It started closed and it should finish that way. Anyways it is still funny to see Ralphy fans complain. Their poor little boy needs stupidly high-bouncing grass to win.

That was sensible from Novak there. I'm going to go ahead and assume that Rafa would have preferred the roof off

Well I hope he'll be tossing in his sleep with those missed opportunities to win that TB; even a break ahead of that getting up love-30! There were some horrendous groundstroke errors under no pressure! :nono:
Have you not thought that he might suffer from triskaidecophobia as it's the 13th or paraskevidekatriaphobia as it's also Friday so he might have been wondering what was going to go wrong because for people with these phobias some thing is going to go wrong on the 13th for triskaidecophobics & just on Friday the 13th for paraskevidekatriaphobics? Some people do. I'm a triskaidecophobic myself.

If I were Nole, I wouldn't be doing any favors for Rafa! Someone called and told me it looked like Nole called Rafa an "a-hole" for challenging a call in the 3rd set I would guess! When he's wrong; he's wrong! :nono:   :ptennis:

After the first set, it looked like Rafa was in command most of the time, even though Novak came out ahead. In particular, Rafa picked up his serve, had tons of winners via DTL forehand and had some nice droppers.

I am glad that it would continue with roof closed. But, Novak still needs to get it done in 4. If it goes to 5, I would give advantage to Rafa even with roof closed.

Well if they both have to agree why would Nadal agree with that?

They both have to agree to change it to outdoors so it's possible Nadal wanted it outdoors and Nole wanted to keep it indoors.

I just got home and see they are stopping play for tonight. @GameSetAndMath Novak will win in straights. :lulz1:

That was not a prediction. That was what I wanted to happen as I thought that the roof would be open when they come back tomorrow and so I wanted it to be done tonight itself.

However, with the roof open tomorrow, I am ok with the match not finishing today.

I'm not sure how many have complained. The questions have been asked, by everyone. It's reasonable to discuss. I know you're feeling especially bitchy right now, but you might keep it to fair on the Nadal threads and save your bile for the Fed ones. Or not, because that's you.

So we don't really know what anybody wanted, this is just speculation?

What about this match speaks "no pressure" to you?

I'm not giving it to her in GMT, but London time. She can look up GMT on her own.
I'm from the North of England so it was the same answer I was wanting. Thank you very much. I write from what I know & remember. I do google some stuff but prefer to do research the old way. I just asked because lots of different people work on different times on here. I just didn't know the difference between the time you stated & the time I'm on. I had the same problem a couple of times when invited to join in on horsehour, equinehour, ponyhour, equinearthour & historyhour on twitter which I did a few times.

I don't think so...Fowler said that they both had to agree to open the roof, or it would be played with it on. He could be wrong, though.
