Nadal has to penetrate the court better, and stop neutralizing the point. He has to be more aggressive, or he'll lose.

When he let the forehand to the talking he was glorious, but trying to 'reset' the rally with Djokovic is a dangerous proposition.

He's complained about both those things and the amount of hard court tournaments on numerous occasions.
And Roger complained a lot about Hawk-eye. I'd say all of those things are rather old news, though.

Djokovic could come out flat tomorrow... too many mental rollercoasters - the marathon match that bumped his, letting the 2nd set get away from him, coming out tomorrow on an open court where the bounce will favor Nadal. Will be interesting to see if he has the resolve to regroup and bring his best.
The roof will be closed tomorrow, so that will help him. You still rooting for Djokovic? :)

He actually reset the rally really good with his slice, part of it is that Nole's backhand isn't all the way back and he really seems to lack confidence hitting it down the line. Rafa dictating with his forehand with little bounce on the court is hard.

He's complained about it once after Ralphy clipped about 4-5 lines in a short period of time in that 07 final. Not quite the same as Nadal with his numerous complaints but I know I won't convince you.

One would think Djokovic has the better chance tomorrow since he only needs to win one set. Even if nadal has a 70% chance to win each set, his chance of winning the match is 49%. Do you guys think Nadal has a 70% vs 30% advantage?

Obviously it's better being two sets up. The best you can give Nadal is 50/50, and that's based on intangibles. If Djokovic starts tomorrow the way he did today, and Nadal doesn't make some changes, Djokovic wins in 4.

Oh, no, he complained about it for a long time and it had nothing to do with Nadal. He's also still kind of crappy at it. Poor eyesight? Maybe that's why he lost in the dark? ;)

Of course, the real probability is 0% or 100%. Both player can still win.

Did you guys notice how many times Djokovic aced nadal easily by hitting down the T from the deuce court? I couldn’t believe Nadal allowed that to happen again and again and again.

He doesn't like it but he's never demanded it to be removed aside from that final. But yeah he is absolutely terrible at challenges still!

I don't know what you mean by the bolded above. However, you do have to say that he's been self-serving about not liking it, so don't cast so many stones.

It doesn't matter if the roof is open or closed, Nadal won't get credit if he wins because Djokovic

Hey, they're both better than Isner who insisted that Hawk eye was "broken".

In fairness, sometimes Hawkeye is broken. And it quit working during the W '08 final due to darkness.

Current odds on this match (with the partial result taken into account).

1. Novak 3/10
2. Rafa 23/10

Works out to (approximately) 77% chance for Novak and 23% chance for Rafa.

Might be weighing in on Rafa being a notoriously slow starter! He better get a good sweat in when doing his warm-up in the morning! One slip and he'll be gone in 40 min.! This would be huge if Nole could pull this off after 2017! :yesyes:  :ptennis:

My observations tend to agree with Moxie's original assessment that about "80% of monfed's posts be name-calling, whining and complaining". The other 20% are mainly:
- observations and analysis of his idol's game, picking up only those aspects that give Fed an advantage over the field and denigrating the opponent game aspects as "dull", thus reinforcing his image of Fed being the only GOAT. In psychology, we call it "cherry picking".
- developing fantasy images "what if" his idol had not suffered a "bad luck" and thus had won far more than he actually did. Predictably, contrasting said "bad luck" with unbelievably good luck his opponents enjoy. Those images are surprisingly complex. In appreciation of the richness of those visions, I call them an alternative ATP world. Experts call it more brutally: "escaping from inconvenient reality".
- constantly seeking approvals among other posters here, to validate in his mind the veracity of his alternation world. In psychology, we call it "rationalisation".

I agree said 80% of monfed's posts are so abominable and disgusting especially as seen by women, that it feels like 99.99%. But if we look objectively at avatar monfed's overall activity here, including the remaining 20% I sistred above, we get a bit of insight into a person standing behind it.

Monfed said once in passing that he had "personality issues". Yeah, very truthful self admition. Monfed, buddy, I like your honesty. You need to be proud of it but you also need to know when to use it and when to forget it, otherwise BS starts happening around you. For example, shouting at women because they are talking "nonsense" that you do not understand is not gonna help ya but only worsen your "personality issues". Take care and Fed be with you according to your name!

O.K. I'm very sorry. I might have been wrong. Can we say mis-calculation? All that name-calling, whinging & whining made me under-estimate the amount of times he actually had something reasonable to say, was fantasising or seeking approval for his views. I escape from reality a bit myself when I read fiction, read or write poetry or stories. I used to act too but haven't done any acting for ages. Who says when women are saying things that Monfed doesn't understand that it's nonsense? Some women are just book-worms with good vocabs & memories.
