Djoker struggling is expected, I figure he takes it in 4 but Khachanov has a chance vs anyone.

DP 1/13 on BP's. Shades of Roger's "great" 2008 performance, right Rafa fans?

As much as JMac if not more. He can't be a vocal fed hater as that will drop the veil of being an insightful commentator but he keeps WISHING for Fed to fail. The guy is the most Fed hating agenda driven commentator EVER.

You think Johnny Mac hates Roger and wants him to fail? Now that I don't buy at all. He likes Roger. Sure he may not want to see Roger win everything, but I don't think he hates Roger. He's got s soft spot for Nadal - which is obvious - because of how much harder Nadal seems to work for his wins than Roger does. But - I don't buy that he hates Roger.

It's been 2 hours already and they haven't finished the 2nd set yet.
Part of it has to do with Del Potro being a slow player. The guy towels off after being served an ace.

If I was an ATP pro, Simon is the player I would least want to play no matter what surface. My god can you hit a winner against this guy?

35 UE's in 2 sets for DP, far worse than special ed Fed's pace in 2008. Wow, that must be a stinker of a match?

Del Po up a double mini break, let's see if he blows this. He usually is a very steady player mentally but clearly not his day today.

He does show his Federer dislike but it is kind of veiled. I remember last year, after Fed won Wimbledon, he made a statement about how Fed had been lucky, and Carhill replied that Brad has been saying that for Roger's other 18 slam titles.

Now that I do remember but I took it as Gilbert's usual career-envy, never won anything, sore loser sour grapes. He's said things like that about Nadal, too, but again - I just take it as someone who was an average player being envious. I don't like Nadal and shade him big time sometimes, but Gilbert always manages to make it sound personal.

I’m fancying DPs chances against Rafa. They might need to reserve the court for the two all day tho.

I think they might have fried DPs brain when they did surgery on him. Shot selection is terrible.

Cahill is the only commentator in that quartet of Jmac, Pmac,Fowler and Gilbert that I pay attention to for analysis. Love JMac's accent and voice though, nice commentator if you can get past his bias.

I like Chris Fowler. He's an unapologetic Fed Fed. At the 2017 AO they were giving him shite for spending his morning off watching Roger's match.

Cahill is the most impartial of the lot, true, but the thing with Johnny Mac, and why I don't believe that he hates Roger, is that he can't control his mouth. If he thinks it - it comes out. So if he's going to shade Roger it's not going to be subtle. Patrick McEnroe can be insightful, but what he does best is keep John from going off the rails. I'm pretty sure that's the main reason ESPN keeps him around.
