Instead of just slicing down Alex, it should be pointed out that Chung played absolute awesome to get him.
I've said as much, and I've been a bit of a champion for Chung. But Sasha does deserve a dressing down, too.

Looking at Chung’s family in his player box, I can see where he gets his mental toughness. The parents and brother were very composed, considering the circumstances. It’s great he can continue building his game without the two year interruption.

I think Milan is 21 and under, so Sascha is still eligible.

I wanted to share an anecdote from the commentators yesterday about Chung, in case anyone missed it. I think this is a good place to put it. In 2015, playing in the Asian games, apparently he was playing at one point for a medal, which would determine whether or not he'd have to do 2 years of military service. He won the medal, and therefore escaped military service, and gave himself 2 years in his career he would have missed. Point being: the guy has played for more on the line than most. I suppose that would account for some of his composure.
Yeah that’s incredible no? Can’t imagine the pressure going into that match.

From the very beginning of this thread I said that I think Zverev will drop out of the top 5 this year.
So far this year, he carried over his form from the end of last season when he looked spent.
He will need to address the stamina issue which he has, if he is going to fulfill all the bi

Since he won Milan, I am convinced he will be a very good player. He bossed there all of his peers with authority.
He just confirmed my expectations beating Sasha here.

Agreed that the rankings are little skewed right now with the injury epidemic over the last year. I'd have Zverev as Top 10 albeit not Top 5.

It is exactly what I said in the beginning of this thread.
I am expecting Sasha to drop out of the top 5 and most likely finish in the 6-10 range this year.
I am looking forward to see how quickly they can improve his stamina, he needs off court preparation.

Having said that herios... I'm not sure how fit some of the other guys are... Murray looks like it could be a serious career problem, Nish and Wawrinka are way off... and will need months to get back to battle hardened tennis, the jury is out on Djoker... so it's not really unfeasible to see him maintaining that position or at least close to it.

That is a valid point. However, is not like Sasha is completely immune to injury bugs as well.

This isn't a rankings thread, but right now it looks like Rafa, Roger, Novak and Grigor will be the top 4 in some order by year's end, barring injury. After that, I think del Potro, Thiem, Kyrgios, Zvevev, maybe Stan, Cilic, and Goffin will fight for #5.

So I could see Zverev finishing anywhere in the #5-10ish range, but probably not top 4.

You know that such projection is totally premature.
The earliest I would engage in a top 10 projection will be post clay season
Think of what happened last year, Sock, PCB, were nowhere on the radar a year ago for a possible top 10 finish.

Slso, lesson learned. After Brisbane all the talk was about Kyrgios. You would have thought that Edmund will go deeper at the AO?

I continue to be baffled when people say this.

Doesn't that go without saying? This is a tennis discussion board, for chrissakes; premature projection is part of the fun! ;)

I am not saying is not fun but you could end up being 50% or so wrong.

I probably will be 50% wrong! ;) And kind of hope I am, because life is more exciting when it is unpredictable. I'd love to see some surprise player storm the rankings and finish in the top 5.
