While this is a very good analysis, I think you undersell Chung just a bit with your last. I don't think he's a mere ball-basher.

If you're asleep, your nerves won't even know. :)

I said that from what I've seen of Chung, when he's behind, he tends to just hit harder - not that that's his whole game all the time.

Re: my nerves...dude...menopause...take it from me...my nerves are jacked up even in my sleep! TMI, right? :lulz1::lol6::D

@brokenshoelace what say you as a third party observer? Is Fed taking the kid to the shed?

He should beat Chung but Cilic is very dangerous in good form for anyone. That could go either way. Tough final and hopefully a good one. On paper definitely.

I think Chung is not at this level yet, especially his serve which is not strong enough. I expect Fed to give him a lot of problems to hold his serve. He is a good player, he will be one of the top players in the near future, but don't think his range of weapons, tactical variations, etc... is wide enough now.
I expect Fed to win. Most probably in 3... in 4 in the worst case scenario.

Tough start for Chung. A little tight I suspect.

4-1 Roger. Chung looks a little nervous and Roger looks very confident. Hard to imagine this going beyond three sets.

Chung is dependent on Fed making errors to get points. That’s not a good position to be in.

Too tentative and predictable.

Fed takes the first set. No answer to Fed’s fh. Fed is blasting winners of that side.

Welcome to the big leagues, Hyeon.

Chung's back to looking like #50.

Oh boy, Before I could get up and brush my teeth one set is already over.

According to AO site analysis, Chung's first serve is 10 km/h less in speed compared to the average of other five opps of Fed so far.
Chung's second serve is even worse. It is 20 km/h less in speed compared to the average of other five apps of Fed. So, it is a huge
liability. The analysis was right on mark.
