If you are going to have it all in one stretch, you need two weeks. Moreover, the winning team has to play almost continuously for 12 days.
These are the issues.

It sure will get attention for tennis. But, is not a practical idea.

Instead, they can do this "world cup" type of team tennis once in 4 years (in the even years when there is no Olympics, such as 2018, 2022, 2026 etc). In the Olympic years, cancel the DC completely. In the odd years, have the old fashioned DC. This way everybody wins.

That lead to his GF deleting all their pictures from Instagram and dumping him. NK jokingly told his fans at DC that "I used to be good man. My GF dumped me and now I can't play".

Three-folded answer:

Personally, no. I just don't follow WTA, just the odd match once a year, so for me it would not work.

Sporting wise, I don't know. You could mix things up with one mixed doubles match, but I don't know how could you stack it all together (it would be a lot of players), unless you restrict it to only a few players each gender, but then you fall back to the dependency on the big names...

Commercially-wise, I guess it is the best case you have. Those team tennis experiments/events are all with both genders, right? There must be a reason for it.

What I would do is to agree to a format and adopt it for both genders (with the same name), maybe on alternating years.

Too early to say IMO. Marat won 2 majors and had 7 weeks at #1. Nick's still only 22 and it's pretty plain to see that their is going to be a giant vacuum for a while once the old campaigners drop off.

I heard this morning! He's been on my list of possible "successor" Next Gen'rs! He's had some unprecedented wins considering most have just rolled over for the "The Big 4" to this day; more than a decade after it all started! Winning 2 Masters and a few other events is the least that can be done for the guy; qualifying for YEC! :whistle:
