Ditto, this definitely seems like the right move to me. It's one thing to play cincy, burn yourself out and then have at least a week for recovery. No good reason for him to play Winston Salem.

Was very surprised see Tommy Haas listed there 'cos I thought if he did come back it was gonna be next year. Can only hope he's able to play properly for a bit before retiring for good. Just recently underwent his 9th surgery :nono

I think you has taken in the wrong way what he said. There are to kind of "physical" issues , one because the injury and the other one after to be more than two months with the wrist immovilizated even it's better now his preparation was good but too short to play so many matches in Rio but that physical fatigue is not forever and being healthy (injury free) is the most important thing

Kieran, this is not a MS, GS or DC but I think tennis needs to attract more followers, more advertising and variety and this could be something different and at the same time un entertainment
