Djoke's private problems might be over, but his physical problems aren't. Against JJ, he was serving like a girl. If JJ had an ounce of brain, he could have won. Anyone in the top 20 definitely would have beaten Djoke in that injured state. Let's see if he gets his body in order for round two.
Gutless and brainless; been talking about it for years! That's the major deficiency in this current crop of players with so much ability and experience! They obviously inflate their heads with helium before a match while their brains are left on the top shelf of their locker! How else can you explain the dominance of the
"Big 3" over players like Wawrinka, Cilic, Berdych, Gasquet, Tsonga, and so many veterans? With 20 opportunities they might have 2 wins overall, maybe 1, with the most mindless having no victories! In my day you had a little of that with Borg over a handful of players, but it wasn't as prevalent as it is today with seasoned, experienced stars who lose countless matches against the elites again and again; sometimes with multiple MP's like Tsonga at the FO against Nole a few years ago! IIRC, this super athletic guy was playing well, attacked when to his advantage, and had 4 MP's to close out an ATG and he couldn't do it! Bad enough he lost that set, he totally
"went away" dropping the 5th set 1-6! You get a lot of that with Ferrer, Berdych, Cilic, and a handful of others! It's frustrating; not like I want them to win, but at least make the era competitive! This is why historians will probably undervalue the accomplishments of Federer, Nadal, & Djokovic because of their apparent ownership of the majors and MS1000 events!
