Djokovic will be the favorite if he plays.

He doesn't need another Canadian; should pull out and prepare more for Cincy! :nono  :cover

Novak's main target at this moment is the Olympic title. The Canadian event serves as a warm up for him, Cincy will be held only after the Olympics.
I know I may be alone with this thought but I don't think Rafa worries about Murrayrafanoy1992 said:Whether it is an injury or mental fatigue, I think this is a good thing for Djokovic. He could just relax and not think about tennis for a couple of weeks. At this point of his career, he really just needs to focus on Slams and Masters 1000 titles.
On the flip side, this could be a good opportunity for Murray to gain some points back in the ATP Race rankings.
In addition, other players could use Cincy to boost their confidence and ranking points going into the US Open. Nadal, Raonic, and Nishikori are only 700 points apart from each other. And with Federer not playing the US Open, each one of those players can grab the 4th seed thus avoiding Djokovic or Murray until the semifinals.

Really? After Rafa started dropping clay court matches to Murray, I would think concern would cross his mind! :cover

Who knows what Andy / Rafa will decide considering they are going deep in Rio?

I think they will UP the appearance fee for Andy/Rafa to attend Cincy.. Rafa will surely bite for it which is not wise
