they could put around 600 guinea pigs on the court,

and as they wander around the soft fur and body heat would help dry up the court.

Guinea pigs on court? What an odd idea...

Everyone knows Venezuelan Castors are much more appropriate to do that... even badgers would be better.

guinea pigs make a rather charming squeak though.

Well they will have a roof next year, so last year of dealing with this bs.

I predict that even with a roof, the USO will find a way to bungle up the scheduling.

Well they always do. That is what happens with night matches and weather issues typically don't make for ideal scheduling issues.

You are wrong though, nobody beats the tasmanian devil! He would cover every inch of the ground faster than Nadal, Hewitt, Borg and a hungry Nalbandian combined! It's 23:15 in Germany right now, I don't think it will start before midnight. I have to go to work at 05:00 in the morning. It's going to be a loooong day at the office but it's worth it. I remember looking, talking and acting like a zombie at work a decade ago coming off a full night marathon of Baghdatis vs. Agassi on Ashe without any sleep...

I checked the forecast again. Once they get started, the match is expected to go on without any interruptions. POP (probability of precipitation) for the night has come down to 15% from 20%.

Sleep? I haven't slept since August 31st... I ate my fork yesterday and didn't even notice.

I feel such shame for what a circus our National championship has been since I started watching it on TV! From the antiquated facilities in a bad neighborhood through changing of the surface twice in 4 years; all I've been able to do is SMH! Reminds me of what I heard from some players "on camera," that they should just take an A-Bomb and drop one on them; and this was the new Stadium that got such rave revues about opening on time and under budget! Probably total mythology; can't take anyone's word for something like that before the superhighway of informational internets! :cover :puzzled :nono
