Novak wastes two break points.

But, he needs to win this one in two sets. Otherwise, it is a "win for Rafa" even if Novak wins the match.

Uhm really?

Losing is losing buddy. And it's still clay they are playing on.

He didn't "waste them", in fairness, Rafa fought back well. But I see Nole as the stronger here, with Rafa having it all to prove. As you say though, if it goes to three, who knows?

Of course a win is a win and loss is a loss. What I mean is that even if Rafa takes a set off Novak,
it would give him tremendous confidence to him at this stage leading to him finding his A game just in time for RG. That is why he needs to be taken out quickly.

What a backhand from Rafa. He's surprising me today, the guy's much better here than he was at MC last year...

They guy has 9 RG trophies. He will know when he arrives in Paris. I really don't think this match will matter that much even if Nadal wins let alone win a set.

I have the strong feeling that even if Rafa would lose this match he will be the real Rafa Nadal in the next tournament
