I have to say, that was a worryingly comfortable match from what I saw. Novak raised his level if he had to but only needed to do that sporadically. Seriously impressive

Great win for Djoker, he answered everything well, and after losing the first game, won all the big points after... :clap

So close! One game off.

Congrats to Novak.

Djokovic in two sets. Something like 6-4, 6-3.

And a special shout out to my friend Nehmeth for creating the poll/thread. :clap

I hope Novak focusses on winning tomorrow and then focusses 100% on RG. Madrid and Rome should be treated as training.

The two big games were at 3-all in each set, and Novak won them both. That tells us where we are. Rafa has a lot of work still to do, if he's to be truly back, and Nole is going to win his second MC title tomorrow.

As a Rafa fan, I'm happy with what I saw, and as a tennis fan, there's nothing like a match between these two...

Congrats to Djokovic for reaching his 5th final this season and his fourth straight Masters 1000 final (that includes last year's Paris Masters).

As for Nadal, he is improving but the same problems are still there. It will be interesting to see how he plays Barcelona. I will say this: it looks like he is hitting deeper shots with his new racket. It will be interesting to see how can get comfortable with his new racket.

Rafa is certainly on his way up. He does not hit short balls too often compared to recent past.
His serve also seems to have improved.

Good thing that Novak finished him off in two with complete focus, instead of doing a mid-match walk about. The 7th game of both sets were crucial. In the first, Novak held after 10 mins and in the second Novak broke after 10 mins.

Not even Novak in 2011 has won three Masters consecutively to open the season.

I think that Rafa's mind is getting much better but changing the racquet takes a little time to get used and that's is one of the reasons that Rafa will do better in the next tournaments
