Hard to believe Novak is now over 10,000 points ahead of Rafa.

I just stare at the "live ranking" not believing my eyes; :eyepop - Rafa at #10! Before this I'd started leering at the record book and seeing Nole's name getting dominant without actually surpassing "The GOAT" ahead of him! I thought Roger would own most of these records like Navratilova for the women, but Nole's bleeding into them! If he completes this run on clay in Paris, then head back to the States to acquire his last Masters in Cincinnati, he won't have to catch up to either Roger or Rafa to have a look at a few of his years and the amazing #'s he's producing! He'll start having that mystic of Borg even without a USO or AO title! His name is still all over the record books, but that's a huge deficit in comparison to the stars of today with career GS's! - Pretty soon there won't be a deficit H2H or in the # of Masters won by Nole! After all is said and done, he will surpass a lot of Roger's records except the # of majors! You never know, he could go on a run acquiring at least 2 a year for the next 3 or 4, but I think he's going to end up short Roger and maybe Rafa if he adds to his total! The rest of the tour has to catch up sooner or later; esp. with Kei and Milos out there! Can't wait for Friday's matches! :popcorn  :dodgy:

Getting ahead of yourself a bit there with surpassing a lot of Roger's records. He has a lot of great records of his own but surpassing a lot of Roger's? He's quite a way off that yet and even winning the French open would just equal Roger in that regard unless he wins it again but first he has to win it this year and Stan and Andy look hungry.

I've paid more attention to The Masters' wins! If you look at the Wiki page on it, Nole's name is taking over! He's already surpassed Roger in the count and breathing down Rafa's neck by just 3! In comparison to past eras, you just didn't have that kind of dominance! IIRC, Roger actually missed winning a Masters one year early; a season after he had won his 1st! It happened and winning those titles were tough for different reasons; surfaces, time of the year, and if some 2nd or 3rd tier person like Nalbandian or Davydenko played lights out and upsets a couple top pros to take one! That just doesn't happen much these days; what, maybe Tsonga sneaking one in Canada a couple years ago? Right now it Djokovic across the board and I just can't believe this dominance after living through the career of Roger! I just didn't think anyone would come close; including his real nemesis Rafa who owns him overall on all surfaces! In another year, none of that will be true concerning Nole when it comes to the 2 GOATS; according to all the experts! :cover  :dodgy:

And let that be a lesson to you! NOBODY beats Novak Djokovic seven times in a row at the French Open!

There's no doubt in my mind that Novak will end up with the most Masters wins of the top guys on tour when all's said and done but that alone does not mean surpassing a lot of Roger's records :) Merely one :p

Also both Rafa and Roger will for sure win a few more. In Roger's case hopefully Cincinnati later this year :D

Doesn't Rafa hold that record? Or do you mean the WTF at the end of the season?

If Nole does win RG, that's the only significant piece of hardware missing from his collection, yes?

It makes me laugh. Has it been that long? Is it possible that people have forgotten how extreme Roger's dominance actually was? Wow...

Thanksful today match was only a quarter final loss , Rafa still hasn't lost to Djokovic at RG in a final.

Yeah Rafa holds the most masters for now but I've no doubt Novak will end up with more before they both retire but Rafa may come back and win a few of the clay ones in the next year or two and keep his nose in front. Still, Novak could win a few more this year and they'd be all square then. Novak may well also win more WTFs than Roger too at this rate given Roger's age and p1$$ poor ROS.

Cincinnati Masters completes it for him! He doesn't have a chance of acquiring Hamburg after it lost it's Masters' designation in favor of Shanghai! :popcorn :dodgy:

So the men's semifinals are set! Top half is as planned, bottom half is a complete surprise!

The only final I don't think I want to see is Djokovic vs. Tsonga. Any other combo would be great!

Most exciting and nerve wrecking final for Novak fans would be Stan v Novak imo.

Any chance we can get auto-pilot/NadalRG2005 unbanned for a day? I'd love to see his comments right now...
