I love it Broken, almost as the 6-1 third set.

...but not as much as i love the 6-1 head to head at Roland Garros. I'd say Novak was handed his ass to him 6 times, but as I've been enlightened by some terrific revisionist history, he's handed himself his own ass 6 times in a row.

:clap :laydownlaughing :snicker :lolz: :clap

Not revising anything buddy - Rafa won them all fair and square. But that doesn't mean Novak didn't have chances, only to shoot himself in the foot. You can come and sh*t all over things and it still won't dampen the joy.

Notice I didn't say a word about today's match other than Novak earned his victory and gave him props. And in fact told a Nadal fan to have thick skin when they took issue to your "happy birthday Rafa." I would have gloated too.

My issue is with your comment that puts previous victories in question. So no, I'm not attempting to dampen the joy one bit. Good on your boy to win today, the same way my boy won, by his OWN hand, the 6 previous times. Gloat all you want, and you should, but don't insert unfounded logic and use one match to put 6 unrelated ones in question.

Brainless, weak, anxious, little bull...
Kudos to Novak, he smoked Nadal, humiliated him on his best surface. Scary to think what would have happened in say, Miami or AO.
I hope you are happy GSM, Britbox and others, his retirement is knocking on the door. He will be pressured more and more about his losses, and will eventually crack.
The king is not only dead, he is burning in a crater. The only thing he has managed to do is ruin his win percentage on tour for the last few years. Same goes for Federer. Disgusting.
Happy birthday you cheap bastard, I hope this will be your last one on tour.

Carol, it's real easy.... you just type "Congratulations to Novak and all his fans." Then start in with the rest of it.

Maybe you should go back to the pages and then you will see that I was one of the first one to congratulate to Novak, you don't need to be so harsh :(

Found it. Apologies. Deleted my post.

Apology accepted ;)

I've been waiting for Rafa to lose at the French since Soderling took him out. I have to say it feels kind of anticlimactic. It's not the wonderful schadenfreude I wanted.

Still I'm happy for Novak. His playing at a ridiculously high level this year.

You would have felt better if Nole had won one of those closer matches like in 2012! With the way Rafa's playing now, no matter how emphatic Nole wins this tourney, his detractors will point out how "down" Nadal had been; barely in the top 10! :s :cover

That 2012 is not as close as you remember, and weather-aided.

I'll remind Puppet Master that Nadal has actually also managed to increase his slam count in the last few years.

So yeah, I'd say an all around dumb post.

What I find disgusting is his game against the biggest challenge he has ever faced in his career. He dwindled like never before, Kokkinakis put up a better fight than him. I think the reason he took 5 games in the first set was that Djoko probably couldn't believe that this was coming from Nadal. He played around with him today, and you saw it.

Not soon enough it is. And yes, I am quite happy today, seeing Rafa get creamed like that made me untuck my shirt to hide the excitement

It's a cop out. If you say someone lost by his own hand, you're implying that was a bigger reason for the loss than his opponent's play. That is the case for many losses in tennis, including some Novak losses. But to the king of clay in his prime? That's rich. There's a reason he never came close to beating him at RG before today other than a 5 setter that he was lucky to take to 5 to begin with, and was largely outplayed throughout.

Yeah yeah it's your opinion and all...and I disagree. Moving on.

Wow! I guess you're a bit emotional right now. But Rafa is about more than just a win percentage surely. He's not done yet. Why would he be? It's just one match, nobody died as Boris said. Now we'll see again what sort of a fighter Rafa is. Some of his best periods have been after adversity

I don't think that he himself believes in that as much as you do. The only way he could repeat his past achievements is in a damn bio-suit.

Interesting question - when was the last time Nike was frozen out of the semis at a men's slam - you've got Nole (Uniqlo), Murray (UA), Stan (Yonex) and Jo-Wili (Adidas).
