Makes me think of Rise of the footsoldier. Great film and the most use of the C word I can recall in recent years :D

Navratoliva vote for Muzza, also Wilander. But Willander was always against Djoker, in any given case.

^ Trust me when I say whatever country he was from, she would have prefixed the insult with that country. It will be nothing to do with the actual fact that he was Czech.

Interesting. I am not sure it makes it right though. It would be tough to explain it to the peoples of countries you are naming, but I guess she does not worry about that...

Yo BB. I agree, I don't think that she meant anything bad about Czechs.

But, is it really lady-like to swear like that in front of cameras for the whole world to see? I will fess up and say that even I sometimes utter the F word, but never in public.:puzzled

And for all those that drag Nole's parents into this, they have never sworn at other players publicly in English or Serbian!!!! They are guilty of cheering loudly for his son, but even they congratulate Nole's opponents (like Murray and his mom after that Wimbledon win). Plus they are rarely in his box in recent years and even when they show up, they are a model of decency, unlike others.:snicker

Well, I'd say Kim is going to watch her boyfriend play tennis. I don't think we should hold her up to be some sort of role model and why should she be? If anyone is to blame it's the journalists who are zooming in on every facial tic - aren't they there to cover a tennis match?

It's not as if she was disrupting the match, standing up and loudly shouting obscenities toward Berdych. Somebody has zoomed in on her in slow motion while she was sitting down and attempted to lip read.

^^ I agree BB. Still, a bit disappointing to see her face like that in rage and with all those F words. We should be able to control ourselves, I mean that is what separates us from animals, right?

It doesn't really offend me that much and I will soon forget about it, but if she were to say something about Serbs in this manner, then she would be on my bad list for forever.;)

Welcome back, Billie, but in this one, gimme a break. A camera in the djokovic box could catch anything. Same in any box. Kim got het up and mouthed off. People do it all the time. It's no hanging offence. We live the age of outrage where everyone looks for stupid reasons to take offence. The other day Benedict cumberbatch betrayed his age when he sympathetically mentioned "coloured people." The twitterati exploded in stupendous outrage: apparently he should have called them "people of colour."

So although Kim's words came from a different place, we see how stupid and difficult to follow these outrages are. Or how stupid the outraged are. It's common for people to affix nationality, fatness, gender to reflexive insults. These heat of moment things should be taken with a pinch of salt. Kim was cool. She was cheering for her man. If he was playing a fellow Scot, but one from Glasgow, she might just as easily have muttered, "you f****** Glaswegian f*****!"

And if I hear anybody here say they don't use bad language when cheering their champ, I'm bound to get a fit of the giggles...

Yeah, I doubt too many Czechs will be losing too much sleep over a couple of mumbled obscenities uttered by Andy Murray's girlfriend... and if they are, then the problem stems from within.

Of course Matts wants him to lose... they're tied at seven and a win would drop the old guy further down the list. Plus Nole has more chances to complete a career slam. Something Matts was never able to do.

I dunno Billie. I remember going to football (soccer) matches in my younger days. I wouldn't care to judge anyone watching sports in the heat of battle.

It's a foregone conclusion he'll pass Wilander either way, tomorrow or not.

Ha Ha...I've seen plenty of matches live in Toronto. I have never shouted a bad word towards any player. In private, possibly, but not out in public.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, like I said I am not going to think any worse or better about her than before. I just find these double standards over and over again a bit funny. I have a feeling if it were somebody in Nole's box behaving this way, all hell would have broken loose.;)

Kieran, if Nole loses tomorrow I am personally holding you responsible for it as you picked him to win. So let's see what happens tomorrow and then I might talk to you. :laydownlaughing

I honestly don't follow any other sites, so I am not sure what the reactions to Kim's outburst are. I hope people calm down if they are taking it to her. We are all human and make mistakes, I can forgive anybody....even people who drove me from my home. I am just observing and reading the reactions here and stating my opinion as I find these things interesting.:D

^^ Stranger things have happened before.

Anyway, let's hope the final is exciting and that Nole prevails at the end.:D

Take care all!

^So Novak was lucky the defending champion ran out of gas based on Novak's own relentlessness?

That's called making your own luck. I'm sure Novak would have preferred T-Bird in the semi if you gave him the choice.

I said before to reach the semis he had very easy way :dodgy:

Again, not a hope. Novak faced Raonic who has a 4-2 leading h2h over Murray and Murray faced a jaded Kyrgios who had the longest matches of the players left in the draw and was easy pickings.

Poor Raonic, he doesn't reach a semis (less a final) as more than he would like to made it, all these "young" generation have still to learn a lot as soon as possible, time flies and most of them are already 25 years old without any MS and GS titles, sad :cry

Yeah but my point is he has a winning h2h over Murray and likely would've been a much tougher opponent for him than Novak so Novak definitely had by far the harder route to the final.

In a manner of "No country for old man" just opposite, no young guns will be allowed for some more time. And when this top 4 leave tennis...in 3-4 years. Young guns will become more of "old" guns.

Change of guard will be complete new list i think.

^Agreed, there is an unhealthy obsession with labelling things as racism. Soon it will be classed as racist to make a comment about somebody living in a different street.

As folks know, I hate political correctness and you are not going to offend me easily, but I do not see the need to bring someone's ethnicity into the picture when cursing them. I mean, what happened to good old "You stupid F*&^" or "You effin moron" etc? When you bring countries into it, I instantly think you have some sort of superiority complex. Would Kim say what she said to someone in a crowded bar in Prague? Nope. So don't say it anywhere.

It's important to note that there's no proof she brought ethnicity. That's just what some amateur lip readers reported and one news outlet ran with it. It's easy for these things to suddenly become facts.
