^Agreed, there is an unhealthy obsession with labelling things as racism. Soon it will be classed as racist to make a comment about somebody living in a different street.

As folks know, I hate political correctness and you are not going to offend me easily, but I do not see the need to bring someone's ethnicity into the picture when cursing them. I mean, what happened to good old "You stupid F*&^" or "You effin moron" etc? When you bring countries into it, I instantly think you have some sort of superiority complex. Would Kim say what she said to someone in a crowded bar in Prague? Nope. So don't say it anywhere.

In my opinion Novak is very lucky to be in this final. He has had the most easy opponents during the whole tournament, then he had Wawrinka in the semis who finished playing out of gas (Novak is tireless) and still playing a bad match he has reached the final
On the other hand Muzz has played against more difficult opponents and clearly with better solid game, he deserves to win and I hope to see lifting his third GS Trophy
Goooo Muzz, make my day!;)

^So Novak was lucky the defending champion ran out of gas based on Novak's own relentlessness?

That's called making your own luck. I'm sure Novak would have preferred T-Bird in the semi if you gave him the choice.

Yup, there's no way Novak got the easier route to the final playing the defending champion.

Mate, you're confusing ethnicity with a border drawn on a map. Last time I checked, both Murray and Berdych were Caucasian white males. This stuff makes a mockery of real racism which I take quite seriously.

I voted for Djokovic in four but this discussion about each one's path to the final got me thinking...

Djokovic in three.

OK, maybe the word racism was off the mark. But seeing some tweets, Kimmy sailor-mouth Sears may be the most hated woman in the Czech Republic right now. Which is kinda funny. Since he brought then country two Davis Cups, I would think the Czechs love their Berdych but who knows. Leave the "Czech" off the front of your f*** barrage next time Mrs. Muzzchops and this would be a whole lotta nothing.

Djokovic played three seeds (31, 8, 4) including the defending champ.

Murray played two seeds (10,7)

How's he had a tougher route?

Again, not a hope. Novak faced Raonic who has a 4-2 leading h2h over Murray and Murray faced a jaded Kyrgios who had the longest matches of the players left in the draw and was easy pickings.

I never said the comment was racist. I said already Czech is not a race. I am only saying why bring someone's ethnicity and country into the picture when your issue is personal. Ethnicity and race are not the same thing. All I am saying is keep it personal to the person you are attacking. Otherwise you are basically saying those things to the person BECAUSE he is a Czech. Otherwise, why bring it up at all?

Racism is different and we are on the same page. But this is unnecessary stuff.

^ Trust me when I say whatever country he was from, she would have prefixed the insult with that country. It will be nothing to do with the actual fact that he was Czech.

So what would be the underlying reason for her doing that? This is a sincere question. Is it her culture to use nationality as part of her epithets?

Goooo Nole!!! I hope he is going to win. I would have been more confident if he didn't have that virus recently, but hoping that our positive vibrations and his desire to win his first major as a dad will give him more motivation to win.

Nole: note to yourself: you don't have to play 5 sets against Stan....and you don't have to play Murray in 5 sets either. :)

In the UK, insults are invariably prefixed with a reference to where you come from, including places within the UK. i.e. Cockney B**ard, Scouse T**t, Geordie F***er, Yorkshire **** etc.

Hey Billie!

Pretty sure his camp had him watch some of the semifinal and that Nole was kicking himself watching it. I really think he will come out for the final way more settled and ready to impose his game on the match.

Was also thinking about him winning his eighth slam for his son... how nice would that be?!

Yo BB. I agree, I don't think that she meant anything bad about Czechs.

But, is it really lady-like to swear like that in front of cameras for the whole world to see? I will fess up and say that even I sometimes utter the F word, but never in public.:puzzled

And for all those that drag Nole's parents into this, they have never sworn at other players publicly in English or Serbian!!!! They are guilty of cheering loudly for his son, but even they congratulate Nole's opponents (like Murray and his mom after that Wimbledon win). Plus they are rarely in his box in recent years and even when they show up, they are a model of decency, unlike others.:snicker
