I'm not watching it but checking updated scores. What happened? I thought Roger was up 4-1 in the 2nd set, or did I not read it correctly? I just looked at it quickly.

Roger was leading 7-5, 4-1, I did not give Kei much of a chance at that moment.
But he won 5 games in a row to win the second set:puzzled

The old man let up a bit and the Samurai let him have it. Going to a decider where anything can happen between these 2.

Let's wait for the Djokovic x Nadal semifinal. If Djokovic trashes Nadal 2 and 1, the collective mood flips back again...

Novak trashes Nadal like Roger did to him two days ego? that word and wish sounds tough anyway :s

There were lots of breaks in this match. Roger broke Kei 4 times, Kei also broke Rodge 4 times.

I really love watching Nishikori play. I hope that he's able to win a big tournament next year, at least a Masters. If he doesn't win a Masters in his career, he may go down as the best player ever not to.

Oh nobody is expecting Rafa to beat Novak here. I'm sure Nole will handle him easily. Roger will too, if they meet. Rafa is on an incline but he isn't all there yet. Thrashing both Murray and Stan is a good sign for next year, though... :popcorn

It's a good match, isn't it? Can't help but feel that Kei blew his chance in the third game in this set...

I don't think anybody is thrashing Nadal any more. He will lose now and then like he has throughout his career, but the burners are back on and only a select few will be hanging with him from now on. I am tired of hearing about him being off--he isn't. His results since the US Open have been as good as any year since 2010, if not better.

His results since the USO have been bad, very bad , just the last month has improved considerably

In game 7 Roger double faults 2 times and Kei re-breaks again.

Nishi at his almost 26 years old (December) has showing one more time how much inconsistent he is. Maybe the fast way he hits the ball doesn't help him so much, maybe his injuries or something else but I have my doubts that he could win not even a single GS :nono

Passingly odd if Fed ends up losing 2 consecutive sets from 4-1
