Wow. Great match for Roger, not so much for Novak. In fact, I don't think I've seen him play that poorly, look so ruffled, all year.

Roger is now responsible for half of Novak's losses this year. Not bad for a 34-year old.

That's kind of ironic since Nole's responsible for 40% of Roger's losses this year...and 50% of Murray's.

Again, not one word from Front about Roger's opponent level of play. Amazing:snicker

Djokovic was clearly rattled 'cos Roger was playing very well. Sure he made a few more errors than usual but that happens when you're under pressure. He has a lot riding on this tournament to cap off his season and he knows Roger wants to protect his legacy for his best seasons. Of course that affects the nerves and outcome.

Seems every time Novak levels the H2H with Roger, he immediately drops a calf...

The head to head would be lopsided if Roger won even a mediocre % of their close matches. From the start it is mostly either Roger blowing through Novak or losing a tight match.

Are you counting on a Rafa loss to Muzza? I think that one will be interesting and it will likely decide who is #1 in that group.

In 2010, they played one of the best WTF matches I've ever seen. Rafa won 7-6(5), 3-6, 7-6(6).

I can't imagine tomorrow will be a repeat of that, but I've always enjoyed Murray playing Nadal more than any of the other Big Four.

I watched Fed playing Tomas and I knew it was a test run for Novak. He made the slow court work in his favor, no easy task and well done.

Yeah but that is Bird bro! You wrong foot Bird and he goes half a mile the other way...turns slower than Titanic ! You wrong foot Nole, he takes that foot and shoves it up your....anyway, I mean, different scenarios. I did not expect this today. I did not watch anything but I am assuming Nole was not his usual self?

Because Roger is very SMART, he makes things on the court uncomfortable for Djoker. He is a brilliant tactician.IMO

You pretty much agreed with me anyway 100% saying Roger is very smart and makes Novak uncomfortable on court. Maybe everywhere in general :snicker

Despite not liking either Murray or Nadal one bit (to put it mildly) I concur that their matches are some of the best big four matches, second only to Djokovic v Federer. Both match ups seem to bring the best out of each guy which is what we all want to see when we watch tennis.

Federer leads the Stan Smith group, followed by Djokovic, Nishikori, and then Berdych.

Federer is officially qualified for the semifinals.

Despite Roger playing really well today and against Berdych, we cant really say how he willplay against Rafa or Nole again. He is hot one day and becomes the 'ShankMaster' next. Whole fall season he has been nothing but inconsistent
