All jokes aside though, Roger has won 1 slam in the last 3 years, Rafa has won 2 in the last 2 years. Really not anywhere near as bad as you're making out. They all get old eventually.

Just fact checking Front's algebra, Roger won 1 slam since 2012,, Rafa has 4 slams since 2012

I was replying to Carol's claim that Rafa had a "serious mental injury" :cover for almost the last 2 years so I posted his results since 2013. 2015 - 2013 = 2. I compared Roger's results over a 3 year period as they're worse so it can't be too severe of a "serious mental injury."

Actually it's basically 4 years inclusive for Roger since 2012 and 3 years inclusive for Rafa for all 2013 through 2015. Either way, she's making it out like winning 2 slams is bad which is nonsense. And sure, if you want to bring them both to 2012-present it's obvious who's doing better despite a "serious mental injury".

Again, so serious mental injury that he has lost against anyone and not just on grass and HC but also on clay, too awful year and a half, if I remember well he won just one GS last year and this year not even that because he played worse than in all his whole career :nono :( :dodgy:

Sure, of course his win/loss record is down this year. We can all see that. But tennis is measured by slams more than anything else and he hasn't been doing too badly compared to Federer last few years. Btw, you're probably the only person here that thinks his poor performance is all mental. It's obvious he's slower, less explosive and hitting short balls in the middle of the court for quite a long time now. This is the reason for his poor results.

A large part of it's mental. He's obviously older but still, his lack of confidence affected everything. That's coming back... ;)

Yes, it is mental when you cannot put the ball in court and hitting it out

Don't go so far, I'm not the only one thinking that his poor performance WAS all mental but I know that it's hard for you to recognize it :snicker
And I don't know if you have watched his last matches (you are not probably too interested to watch him....:laydownlaughing) but I didn't see those less explosive and hitting shorts balls that you have mentioned, on the contrary he did pretty well

On the contrary, I was delighted to watch his last match. Should've been over sooner though.

I actually like the fact that Roger is in Novak's group. It is actually a blessing in disguise. This guarantees that Roger won't have to face Novak in the semifinals. If Roger were in the other group
and slips up a bit and ends up in finishing #2, he would have to face Novak in the semis.

With the current structure Roger has better chances of getting 400 points in the semis in addition to 400 points in the RR.

Having said that, I don't like the other two blokes in Roger's half. I would have preferred Rafa and Ferrer as the other two blokes in Roger's half.

But, I certainly like the fact Roger is in Novak's half.

Glad Roger is playing on Sunday. That way, I can watch at least one of his RR matches.

Here is Sunday's schedule:

9 AM: Novak vs. Samurai
3 PM: Roger vs. Berdych

Off of topic,
Very sad what has happened in Paris and Libano, that reminds me to 9/11 NY, 3/11 Madrid and 7/7 in London. Now I hope that all the players and people are safe in London

What is English flag at Czecz Berdych doing ?

I thought the same thing, Mile. In fact, when I first saw the image, the flag stood out the most, so for a split second I was expecting Murray.
