No, Nadal and Murray will be playing doubles.

The article is a little confusing to me too but I think Rafa will play with Verdasco and Muzz with someone else

Ah, I see what you mean. I heard Jim Courier, on the Tennis Channel, say Nadal and Murray will be playing doubles, so I assumed he meant together.

The article is not confusing, the title is: "Nadal and Murray to play in doubles at Rogers Cup".
Once you go in the article, it becomes clear, Nadal will team up with Verdasco and Murray with Leander Peas

Murray and Peas will be a great doubles team. Did Andy choose Leander? Could not he find his brother or other English dudes?

But, this (doubles) is exactly what Murray does not need, especially when playing three weeks in a row in singles already and all that just before USO.

Murray's Scottish. And Paes is Indian... :snicker

That sucks. I hope this isn't the beginning of the end for him.

US Open Media Center to Be Named in Honor of Bud Collins

Nice to see the USTA honor him. Listened to him growing up. One of the greats.

Nothing shocking there. he played with Daniel Nestor doubles this week. He enters doubles only randomly, therefore he does not have a true partner.

It is interesting, the man is thoughtful as always, and he states "that by next year at the latest Rafael will be strong enough again to win more Grand Slam titles," which is something GSM and others have felt here, namely that this year is too soon, he's coming back from too low a level...

I like him because he is outspoken, he says whatever he thinks and usually correctly. He knows Rafa better than anyone else and why he has played so badly, and like many of us have said he have not forgot to play but his head...:cover :(

A great article by Steve Tignor, in his Tennis magazine 50th anniversary series, about The Parking Lot Revolution, which changed the shape of the men's game, in 1988...
