I posted about the Stuttgart possibility in the Fed Schedule 2016 thread. I was making the assumption that he would go there if he loses in the first week at RG and not otherwise. Actually,
he may still do that.
From the point of view of tournament organizers, they need to put his name out there so that the tickets are sold etc. He can always drop out at the last minute citing injury if he goes deep at RG.
Nonetheless, I think Fed signed the deal in good faith. He will definitely participate if he goes out on or before R16 at RG.
