A very Strong but interesting pointnehmeth said:Murray is gutless against someone who will stand up to him. There will be much more of this in the future.
Congrats Grigor. Good bye Amelie.
:celeb: :clap
El Dude said:The best part about this is that Grigor now knows he can beat one of the elite on the big stage. This bodes well for the future. We could have a new elite player on our hands...finally!
Kieran said:I dipped in for the end of this one. Virginia Wade caught a lot of flak for suggesting that Andy might miss the intensity of Lendl, and how surprising he went for the more nurturing tones of Amelie. I couldn't agree more. He went down tamely. Good win for Mr Sharapova. The upsets continue.
Good! :clap

It's one thing when your confidence is slipping and your resolve is gone, to look up to your box and see the scowling face of Ivan Lendl. It's quite another to look up and see the beautiful blue eyes and lovely tresses of Amelie.
Kieran said:She looks a bit like Deliciano. Andy's ma loves him.
Hence...

Bad one for Andy. We'll see if he really does have the hunger to bounce back from this.
Those commenting on Mauresmo are being slightly harsh in my opinion. Murray hasn't exactly been tearing it up in the last 12 months anyway and Lendl was around for much of that time.
