Love Grigor's attitude in that interview. Classy, understated.

This is what Dimitrov almost did to Nadal in the AO quarters, and I think he was determined to avoid a repeat of choking that match away like he did.

Credit to him. He stepped up and played like he's capable today.

Murray is gutless against someone who will stand up to him. There will be much more of this in the future.

Congrats Grigor. Good bye Amelie.

:celeb: :clap
A very Strong but interesting point

I dipped in for the end of this one. Virginia Wade caught a lot of flak for suggesting that Andy might miss the intensity of Lendl, and how surprising he went for the more nurturing tones of Amelie. I couldn't agree more. He went down tamely. Good win for Mr Sharapova. The upsets continue.

Good! :clap

The best part about this is that Grigor now knows he can beat one of the elite on the big stage. This bodes well for the future. We could have a new elite player on our hands...finally!

Picked Grigor to win this in four, but three is good. I really liked the interview after the match.

They don't call him "Baby Fed" for nothing! He has it all including the looks of course! :clap :snigger

It's one thing when your confidence is slipping and your resolve is gone, to look up to your box and see the scowling face of Ivan Lendl. It's quite another to look up and see the beautiful blue eyes and lovely tresses of Amelie.

Grigor is keeping me in the Challenge - I have him to lose to Nadal in the final. Might still happen...oops! :snigger

Amelie does have some very soft beautiful blue eyes..

She looks a bit like Deliciano. Andy's ma loves him.

Hence...

Dimitrov has really come a long way. I thought he was going to be stuck in the top 20-50 bracket for at least a few more years, but he's progressively getting better.

Murray was really mediocre though. I can't see him winning another slam. Back injuries are usually very hard to bounce back from.

Murray was truly sloppy; but in my mind, nothing new! His footwork hasn't changed and I find the style of just grinding out matches infuriating when he has the ability to do so much more! He's an idiot in so many ways!

Didn't see any of this, found out within the space of two minutes in the car home having had no internet access all day that Murray lost in straights, Cilic was 2-1 up against Novak and Federer was a set down to Stan. Nonsense! I almost drove off the road.

Bad one for Andy. We'll see if he really does have the hunger to bounce back from this.

Those commenting on Mauresmo are being slightly harsh in my opinion. Murray hasn't exactly been tearing it up in the last 12 months anyway and Lendl was around for much of that time.

I have no sympathy for Murray with the way he plays the game! It's ugly in so many ways; laying back against "no names" and allowing them to take him to the limit mainly because of stubbornness on his part! He needs to grow the HELL up and see he's breaking down! His career will be cut short playing like this! Same for Nadal!

Just so disappointing after he was in such good form in the first four rounds. Didn't see this coming at all. Could have seen Dimitrov winning narrowly for sure, but not straight sets with only one of them really being contested by the looks of it.

I didn't get to see the match and I've avoided the highlights now I've seen the result. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't absolutely gutted. I don't recognise Andy from the stats I saw.

The boy has some work to do for sure.

That's enough tennis for me until the hard courts. :)
