Just looking closely at Sharapova's first couple of matches
Her match against Kirilenko will be a tricky match.Maria hasnt been playing all that well in the lead up tournaments prior to the USO.

Maria (k) may not be playing well; but, once it is a match against Maria (s), she will
bring all that she can, because she takes special pleasure in beating her. Of course,
this does not necessarily mean she will beat. For sure, it will be an interesting match.

Coming back from a long injury, I give her very little chance.

Taylor playing Serena in the first round is more intriguing. I give Taylor 4-5 games!

I think Kirilenko will easily lose to Pova. She is coming back from injury and has had to deal with personal issues, eg, break up of her engagement. Pova's second match against Pliskova will be way tougher.

The WTA in-house expert thinks Serena will lose to Stosur. I don't trust his picks, but am not happy with the draw. Other than Cornet in her path, things could not be much worse. I hope Serena proves me wrong by winning the title with ease.

Yes, Kiu I remember when both Maria's were doubles partners, way way back. You are right Maria K has not beaten Maria S since the Australian Open. Even though I have a soft spot for Maria K having that delightful chat with her last year, in June, I feel she will have a real challenge on her hands, so little competitive time on the court this year, will be her undoing.

Screampova sucks right now with a minimum UFE of about 50 per match and going even
close to 100 in some matches. But, she keeps winning as other girls are not giving her
a good fight. But, dominatrix will not even reach SF at USO. Caro will take care of
her, if not someone else takes care of her earlier.

Serena will not lose to Cornet or Stosur at USO as they both are known dangers. If at all
she loses at USO, it will be to an unknown danger (such as Taylor :snigger)

Agree with other players not giving her a good fight,Maria has been there for the taking..still she finds a way to win,even ugly,Maria dosent give up without a fight I will credit her with that.

If the screamer wins with 12 DF and 60 UFE, imagine what could happen if she suddenly played a little better. I am hoping she gets ousted early so I can unmute the tv.
