Talk about clash of favourites F3 vs Dr Y...good news for IH, one of them will make it to the 2nd round.:D

Go Youznini!
I just can't decide who I want to win. The kicker is that the winner plays my third phave...K. Anderson. Such a horrible draw!!!

OMG that is a terrible draw....well I am watching it and looks like F3 will take it...he has a match point on Dr Y's serve....and F3 wins the match...:clap

I.Haychew, I was thinking of you when I saw "Youznini" was first up…didn't realize they'd get KA next. Bad draw for you, friend.

Roger says it is not all about grand slams for him in an interview at Rogers.

Roger is full of yesterday's lunch .

For Roger's sake I hope you're right. He should be mainly wanting/expecting to win slams otherwise he will surely continue not to. In the grand scheme of things winning tourneys like Toronto, Cincy, and even YEC, while nice, does not matter much anymore. All about the slams. And having the attitude that his career depends on winning 1-2 more majors is what the doctor ordered. That's where his career comes short if Nadal wins 4 more. Roger already choked away so many chances, no reason he wouldn't be at 20+ if he could win a tight match at a slam.

Well...Unphortunately, one of them had to lose. Still, this would've been a good night phor me to be in Toronto...Youzhnini phollowed by the Blue Jays vs. the Orioles! Did they REALLY just lose three straight to the Astros?!!! GO BLUE JAYS!!!!!!!!!!!

Well IH how many times did I tell you that Rogers Cup in Toronto is much better for you to visit than Cinci:cool:

Fed is double break up.

Fed is clearly focusing on trying to improve his return game. He indulged in "chip and charge"
twice in the last game. It works against Polansky. Will it work against .........?

End of set 1 was a horror fest of service game though by Roger. Enough against Polansky but not against anyone good. From 5-2 and game point to almost losing serve and risking going back to 5-4 if Polansky broke and held. Poor.

Against ........, the only return that will work will be a deep hard one right to his feet.

Fed has played some really high level tennis tonight... with some ugly misses.

Yeah, not exactly jaw dropping all round despite the score. A fair few poor misses that against anyone decent would've been costly.

Some great highlight shots though. Probably set up by the competition though.

Yeah, fair few nice shots alright but would prefer to see less slop. The last service game of set 1 was terribly poor.

After two days into the tourney, all Canadians have gone home. Only one is left to sing
O'Canada and I don't like his voice. Fortunately, he has a tough projected path and can
go out any time.

R32 Jack Sock (if Sock wins Toronto will stop awarding wild cards to US players henceforth)
R16 Gulbis
QF Berdych
SF Fed
F Djoker

I can't say any of these will be easy for the last Canadian standing.

For good measure, Genie goes out as well after being bagelled in the 1st and 3rd sets.

p.s. I know this is Men's forum. But Genie was shown out by a Rogers and so. (he he)
