Now, no taking the feet off Gas. Fed should finish him off without letting him in the
match.

I wonder if Djoker is feeling the heat after Daveed's defeat... :snigger
Would be fun to watch Stan vs Novak finals actually. I don't mind all Swiss final either as long as Roger wins;)

Two most underrated shots in tennis (and I mean really underrated, not "Nadal volleys are underrated" underrated):

-- Djokovic second serve (best second serve among all non big servers).
-- Federer's defensive lob.

I would add to that Roger's short chip return on heavy first serves. Many will look at that as a weak shot but he has won a gazillion points by bringing people in that don't want to come in and pass them with ease.

Yeah, frustrates the hell out the likes of Raonic, Karlovic and Isner. Not to mention the best example: Roddick.

On a surface this slow Roger has to play that well to beat Djokovic and even then it might not be enough. This is still good signs for Roger when you think about it...Monte Carlo is likely the absolute worst tournament for him especially at this point.

This implies Nole isn't playing very competitively, and that's false. It's been pretty close, overall. There is still a few more chapters left in this match. Fed won't run away with it.

Nole is indeed playing competitively. Basically, I meant Fed should not self destruct at least.

Yeah, the inevitable midway passage. Chapter 5: Federer brain farts and dumps serve like a complete tool for no reason with no first serves and 4 routine netted forehands. Hopefully won't happen but these days it often/usually does :/ Then again, Djokovic often has muck service games out of nowhere too. Both of them often tend to donate a pathetic game where the other has to do nothing at all to win the game. And that's regardless of who they're playing.

Doesn't look like Fed is self-destructing. He just broke Nole. :speechless:

Djokovic seems to be having trouble with movement and that shouldn't be wrist related. Hopefully he didn't tweak an ankle or anything.

So it is clear forearm hurts more on the backhand side even with the help of the other hand. There is Roger's tactic. I wonder if Nole will let this one go...

Even if he managed to eek out a win here, Novak would have a very hard time against Stan in the final and that may not be worth busting up his wrist for. Stan v Novak is usually a long, tough match.

Djokovic doesn't seem so ok anymore…I think that wrist is bothering him now.

Fed looking smooth now. He has the break and just needs to hold his serves. Hopefully he won't be plagued by these brain farts you speak of.

The bad wrist is playing a role. In the last game that service return (from the deuce side) would be made fine by Novak on a normal day.

Nice pass from Roger but poor approach shot by Novak.

Been a long time since we've seen Stan and Roger. Should be interesting.
