Two most underrated shots in tennis (and I mean really underrated, not "Nadal volleys are underrated" underrated):

-- Djokovic second serve (best second serve among all non big servers).
-- Federer's defensive lob.

From 40-0 to deuce.

Nice volley from Federer.

Roger spreading the court beautifully. I like what he's doing with his DTL backhand. He's not going for too much with that shot, just making sure he catches Novak off guard.

Smart return draws the error, though those were two lame forehands by Novak to give up the break.

Was that a first serve from Djokovic? If so, a very slow one. Federer breaks and will serve for the first set.

I wonder how bad that wrist is?

I just joined when this game started. Looks like Fed waited for me to join before getting his break.
Now finish it off fed with no hiccups.

Doesn't look affected even 1% to me.

For sure Roger had to take the first to have a chance. Tight set.

Ace to take the first set! And to think Fed broke when he was down 40-0 on Nole's serve at 5-5.

I still think Djokovic will rebound and win it, though.

I would add to that Roger's short chip return on heavy first serves. Many will look at that as a weak shot but he has won a gazillion points by bringing people in that don't want to come in and pass them with ease.

Great set from Roger, about as clean as you can hope for on this surface vs. Djokovic while playing very aggressive. Djokovic looks like he is struggling the last few games of the set. That wrist tape is extensive, has to feel weird to play with that.
