Thanks T! So whatever happens today, Federer must play tomorrow. This might have an influence on what they decide, but if they win the doubles, will Federer be tempted to withdraw? I suppose if he can play, he'll play...

Regardless if the Swiss winif or loose the doubles Roger plays first tomorrow , are you thinking he may ask for a replacement

If he can play, he'll play, I've no doubt about that. obviously, if he was the second match, and France had won the tie by then - or vice versa - he could withdraw easily, but he'll play. I'm just think that if Swiss win the doubles, Stan might be able to take care of Gael, but Roger certainly won't beat Tsonga - if we go by what he showed yesterday...

Davis Cup hasn't been "important" in years IMO; esp. here in the States since we can barely field a team!

That is why you are now at ...47 pages and counting:huh:

OK. It is now official; Mr. Broken Back and Master Cry Baby are suiting up for the doubles.

Allez Switzerland. :exclamation:

If anyone knows of a good free live stream to watch the DCF doubles, please post a link.
It does not seem to be on ESPN3. What a bummer?

1. I don't think France will change the line-up for reverse singles. Neither of their players are overtextended.

2. I too am of the opinion that it may be better for Fed to play in doubles tomorrow and skip
the singles on sunday and hope that Stan can pull it off with a win against La Monf.

The only downside is that if Fed plays in doubles and they lose, for all practical purposes the tie is over.

I think no matter what, if France win the doubles then it's over - if yesterday is the best that Federer can offer in singles. I wonder what order the reverse singles are, Stan's match first, or Federer...

In the reverse singles, the #1 of both countries play first and then the #2 of both countries play.
So, this time it will be Fed going first if he is still in the line up for reverse singles. That is not
a bad schedule considering Fed is the weakest link right now. It is better if the weakest link plays first.

According to Greg Sharko, the ATP stats Guru, Fedrinka have played just once against Gasteau
only once (in 2011 Bercy) and won with a score line of 6-3 4-6 12-10 (in the super tie breaker).

Go Fedrinka!!!

At this moment the odds of winning DCF are 5050 for either country. It has been long time since I saw such even odds.

First set to Switzerland: 6 - 3.

Federer is looking much better and sharper.

Fed said after his match yesterday that he lost not because of pain, but due to not enough practice and not being sharp. I was not sure whether to buy it or not.

Now, I am willing to buy it.

Found a stream finally.

Fed's serve has come back. Just now, I saw two consecutive aces and a service winner from Fed.

It is now 3-3 in second set.

Federer made this one important creating so much drama beforehand at the WTF; what a soap opera! He's been checking out these boards and is desperate if he's out there trying to win in doubles after split yesterday! :eyepop :puzzled :nono :dodgy:

Both Federer and Wawrinka are playing some incredible shots. In the zone.
