Miss on an overhead volley by Eugenie , turns 10th game around for Halep to win the match in 3 sets, 6-2, 1-6, 6-4. Great match to watch, (saw all of the third set). Congrats to Halep, first time I have had the chance to watch her play, and she has an all round excellent game. Very skillful. Eugenie a touch unlucky not to tie the third set at 5-5, but no margin of error against the Romanian!:clap

Mary Carillo is so darn inappropriate - Was it really necessary to mention Giorgi's father's debt. I cannot stand that woman. She also raved about how well Maria was playing on Monday night and I notice Lindsey or the other commentator did not utter a word because they knew that Maria did not play well at all and she was not going to last in this tournament very long.

I am very satisfied with Simona's last two matches. They were so tough and things were not going smooth but yet she still won them.
Easy wins are no bother. The real tests are the hard matches. Thats what makes a player, winning the hard matches.
The surface is too slow and she had to beat two big hitters than her like Safarova and Genie.

Simona is playing GREAT in IW even with a bad draw and bad surface.

I dont join the idea that she is not playing well enough.
I predicted a very tough tournament for her before it started and I was correct.
