I prepare myself for the lose before every match now. I got too attached and addicted and I try to prevent the pain of a bad lose. Its just ridiculous what someone I dont even know personally does to me. I am stupid
Its the crazy world of WTA and any result is possible at present. Just check what Masha and Vika did here. They were top 3 in the world last year... Its totally insane, anything can happen

Another factor in Genie's favor today is the heat. The match is in the middle of the day and Simona complained after the Safarova match that its too hot for her. She came from a cold weather before IW.
For a runner like Simona, the heat can effect her match.
Maybe thats what 10sfan meant about her physical state.
