So, who takes the title now? Li or Aga or Simona? or None of the above?

I need to save my sanity.I refuse to look at the stats on their match

I can't recall Giorgi's as I only caught a last minute glance as the window was closing but Sharapova had 16 winners to 58 errors lol. Giorgi's were 24 v 48 I think but couldn't swear to it as I just saw it at the end. Both terrible in any case.

Those stats will not work against Giorgi.

Camila is much more error prone than Masha, especially against a hard hitter.Same as Julia...

Didn't Camilla have some scalps recently...I was thinking she might ride in on her confidence wave and take it to Maria. At this rate, anything can happen

I'm so rarely right. I had to bring it back:snigger

You did right to bring it back. I originally posted the stats. We make a good team GG! :approved:

Camila looks like a shrimp sitting next to Lisa Leslie and Gimmelstop.

How come people give Stosur such a hard time about her buff arms, and not Giorgi?

Come on folks, don't belittle this match. It after all had more service holds than service breaks.
There were 16 holds and 15 breaks. :snigger

I looked it up and your figures are correct. To put it in perspective that is a total of
106 unforced errors in a match where the total number of points played is 195.
So, that makes it about 54% unforced errors. To put it in a better perspective, every
other point in this match was decided by an unforced error.

This was also the case in several matches involving Maria these days.

Sharapova v Zakapalova had a match last year with 18 breaks. Even worse than this travesty today.

Errors did the trick in this match, Masha had more, I thought she would have less.
Scratchy match indeed.

Petra/Sveta split sets. We're heading for the decider where the Russian will serve first.

Congrats to Cute Camila!!!!!!!

She did not even need a third chance to serve out for the match.:snigger

I was planning to start a thread to monitor the domination tour of Maria.

Looks like I am bit late.:lolz:

Not at all Game. I'm sure that Maria will begin her next

Era of Domination in Miami.

Thanks Hoergren.
Really unfortunate Simona plays Genie so soon. I think either of them could have made it to the final but now one HAS to go home :(

Come on board Kiu..eh!!! I had tweeted Alex that Pavs could be beaten if she moved her around the court, being a slow footed Ruskie. Alex did not win too many points on her first serve, but really her return game was top notch! Alex was one of the very first tennis players I ever interviewed and to this day, she remains a big favourite of mine. I am so glad she is having a super tournament at Indian Wells, after battling that long shoulder injury. She is still the only Canadian with a WTA win, from 2008 at the Bank West Classic in Stanford. That should be soon eradicated with the sky rocking emergence of Eugenie. Oh yes Tim Horton's doughnuts are the best Kiu!! Truly Canuckville!!
