Yeah I hate New England as much as the next person but have to give them credit, they are always there. The coach and qb are simply brilliant and that alone can hide a lot of flaws. Good chance they somehow end up with HFA yet again now. AFC is so frickin weak they might even get to the Superbowl.

Not so fast el senior Darth Fed.. The Patriots are a very flawed team but very talented.. you really have to smash them in the mouth the way the past few teams have beat the Niners except the Saints because we got robbed, IMO

No, you have to play 4 quarters vs. them and if you do any good team is probably beating them. Many teams are getting big leads on them even on the road but they go stagnant a couple possessions, have a turnover, and New England pounces all over it. They are not very talented anymore and that's the thing. Gronk is not at full strength yet and Amendola is no Welker and Tony Montana Hernandez was pretty damn good too. It's smoke and mirrors for the most part.

Maybe the Emperor is using the dark side of the Force(video taping) to stay competitive snce the talent level has been dismantled :lolz:

It is a distinct possibility. Manning is not a Luke Skywalker to take down the evil empire. It may have to come from some unexpected force like last year.

Onto week 13: Note that there are 3 games Thursday for U.S. Thanksgiving, full slate of games as there are no more byes this year.

GB @ Detroit - GB finally found the right backup and it probably cost them 1.5 games. Detroit is having issues but they should be ticked and fired up. Detroit wins

Oakland @ Dallas - Dallas
Pittsburgh @ Baltimore - In the awful AFC these two teams are very much alive. I think Pitt takes it
Jacksonville @ Cleveland - Cleveland though Jaguars are not as bad as we all thought.
Tennessee @ Indy - Indy
Chicago @ Minny - Chicago
Miami @ New York Jets - Jets
Arizona @ Philly - Philly
Tampa Bay @ Carolina - Carolina
New England @ Houston - New England
Atlanta @ Buffalo - Buffalo
St. Louis @ San Fran - San Fran
Denver @ Kansas City - Denver
Cincy @ San Diego - San Diego
New York Giants @ Washington - New York
New Orleans @ Seattle - Seattle. Huge game which might decide home field but tough to go against Seattle at home. The one game they lost there the last 2 years was awarded to them, that's how tough it can be!!

How do you think I feel :nono

No excuse for these performances the past 4 weeks. We knew it'd be a bad team without Rodgers, but this is a terrible team that is showing no heart. This just shows how big the qb is in the NFL. I've told a bunch of fellow homer Pack fans around here for years that you could put "just" a top 10 qb on Green Bay and they wouldn't sniff the playoffs. Having Rodgers masks a lot of problems.

Anyone just see this latest reffing debacle tonight at the end of NYG - Washington game? I'm still in disbelief.

What happened? I watched the highlights on NFL.com and it didn't show any controversy.

With the Redskins driving in the last minute in Giants territory and no timeouts there was a 2nd down play that got them very close to a first down. It looked to be about a foot short but the refs gave them a first down so the Redskins quickly ran a play, a pass for about 15 yards that was knocked away. Suddenly the refs brought the chains back and called it 4th and a foot instead of 2nd and 10. The next play Washington runs a quick out and the receiver catches it for 4 yards but got stripped of the ball and the Giants recovered.

Needless to say the play they would have run at 3rd and 1 is way different than what they ran thinking it was 1st and 10. I don't remember seeing anything like that before let alone at the most critical juncture of a game.

I thought once you ran the play then they couldn't change their minds on the play before... i.e. Teams running plays quickly before a dithering coach can challenge the previous...

Yes that's correct, a coach can't challenge the previous play after another one is run, let alone the refs taking away a first down after another play is run. It was quite dumbfounding.

The officiating has been cursory at best since the beginning of the 2012 season when they used the replacements refs.. I am tired of whining about the Refs

Tonight.. even a tie would be great.. We need to catch the Seahawks but need to stay close to the Saints as well. The feeling out here in the Bay area is that the Niners players feeling are that they outplayed the Saints and they feel that they got robbed. They know they can beat the Saints.
