That was a borderline call, looked worse live than on replays. But regardless, it is always bad when a personal foul, a controversial one at that, can decide the game.

Darth, this is tackle Football, How else can Ahmad Brooks tackle Drew , he isn't that tall.. But Agree that game is over and the Niners need to refocus

He is close to 6 feet, not 4 feet. It was a high tackle and he didn't do himself favors by wrapping the arms in a clothesline position. All in all, he could have done a lot better to avoid that situation.

I can't fault you for being ticked though, I know I would be. Any penalty or mental mistake that costs a team a game is a tough pill to swallow.

Darth, I disagree.. He had to try to prevent Drew from attempting a pass, thus that why he had to wrap his arms. There was nothing he could have done to avoid a Tackle football QB sack.

Well one thing I will say is that Brees has been sacked tons of times being hit well below the neck area. It was tough and it's true that if Brees was normal height for an NFL qb that doesn't draw a flag but it is what it is. New England has a lot of beef after last night. 2 of the 3 biggest games this week had controversial endings. Shades of last year and replacement refs :s
First,
Congrats to having a fantastic week 11, dude you rock. As for the referees, I was thinkingthe same thing, the replacement have resurfaced, :nono

I think that non call last night was terrible even despite past and current refs trying to justify it. Gronk had almost no hope to catch it but he could have at least broken it up and who knows what could have happened if it got tipped. Even if it's a 1 out of 100 play you still have to make the call on what could happen, not what was likely. It was a judgment call but the wrong one...

N.E. has gotten so many calls go their way over the years that even though I don't like them and think they got hosed last night, it almost seems justifiable payback for all the calls that have went their way...

Well I don't like them either but they've actually had a couple tough seasons with the refs last year. They were victims of the clown refs vs. Baltimore last year right before the clowns outdid themselves with the Green Bay vs. Seattle circus. New England will gladly take being screwed in a few regular season games for the "Tuck Rule" garbage vs. Oakland that led to their first Super Bowl.

Onto Week 12 and it is a brutal week. This looks like the toughest week of picks to date. 4 teams have byes so there are 14 games.

New Orleans @ Atlanta - New Orleans, one of the only easy ones.
Pitt @ Cleveland - Pittsburgh
Tampa @ Detroit - Detroit, the other easy one
Minny @ Green Bay - I think GB wins this because Minnesota is that bad. It is close to 50-50 though, because GB, without Rodgers, is also terrible. GB needs this to keep any hope alive.

San Diego @ KC - KC rebounds but I think this could be a close one.
Chicago @ St. Louis - clearly StL has some ups and downs. Chicago isn't any good either but I think they'll sneak another one out.
Carolina @ Miami - Seems like a trap game following 2 good wins, but Carolina is a very good team and I think they'll win.
Jets @ Baltimore - Another tough one but I think Baltimore wins at home.
Jacksonville @ Houston - Houston is horrendous but it's hard to picture Jacksonville winning another game this year.

Tennessee @ Oakland - Oakland
Indy @ Arizona - Indy is struggling and Arizona is suddenly 6-4 but I'll pick Indy.
Dallas @ Giants - Giants are still desperate...and still weak. But Dallas is barely better, the stink fest known as the NFC East gets more interesting when New York wins this.

Denver @ New England - Extremely tough one to pick. Neither defense is that great and Manning is playing at a higher level than anyone this year, way higher than Brady. But New England has always caused Peyton trouble and is at home and Belichick knows any hope for the #1 seed is riding on this game. I think New England takes it.

San Fran @ Washington - The only other easy one. SF will rebound and with authority.

What are the Saints doing? They looked terrible on that opening drive to allow ATL to score easily.

You won't allow us to give you New Orleans on that one last night? It was an easy call, but ended up being a close game.

Hey guys, I have preponed my winter holidays due to my son's wedding and I'll be on vacation in France from next Friday onwards until Christmas. However I don't know exactly whether I will be able to make the picks for each week in time because we don't have wireless-LAN there anymore. I will try to find some WLAN-cafes or try to get access to the internet somewhere else. In case I won't be able to, here are my picks (winners) for the next 3 weeks in advance.
I hope that's ok. Cheers and see you soon!

Week 13:
Lions, Cowboys, Steelers, Colts, Browns, Panthers, Bears, Patriots,
Eagles, Jets, Bills, 49ers, Bengals, Broncos, Redskins, Seahawks.

Week 14:
Texans, Bengals, Patriots, Jets, Saints, Lions, Steelers, Bills, Chiefs,
Ravens, Broncos, Cardinals, Chargers, Seahawks, Packers, Bears.

Week 15:
Broncos, Redskins, Cardinals, 49ers, Saints, Seahawks, Bears, Colts,
Bills, Patriots, Eagles, Chiefs, Panthers, Cowboys, Steelers, Lions.

I could still end up 7-6-1 if Denver holds on and Frisco comes through tomorrow, but yes a brutal week to say the least.

You have got to be kidding me. N.E. wins because Denver doesn't know how to field a punt w/ 3 min left in OT?

This game shows why Manning isn't winning another one. The old qb's all struggle in the cold, some more than others and with Manning losing a lot of arm strength after the neck injury it amplifies the problem.

Wes welker showed why The Emperor banished him from the Evil Empire and the control of Lord Darth Brady..that guy is butter fingers at the wrong times and made a bad call last night field that left foot spinning punt.

Yeah I hate New England as much as the next person but have to give them credit, they are always there. The coach and qb are simply brilliant and that alone can hide a lot of flaws. Good chance they somehow end up with HFA yet again now. AFC is so frickin weak they might even get to the Superbowl.

Not so fast el senior Darth Fed.. The Patriots are a very flawed team but very talented.. you really have to smash them in the mouth the way the past few teams have beat the Niners except the Saints because we got robbed, IMO
