The last thing they need w/ this subpar play is more time off. They both need a bootcamp that includes psych sessions, FH prep, serve motion refinement and how to close a match.

BTW I was only joking about both players going on a holiday..

Halep beating Flipkens, brings an end to Flipkens singles career as she is retiring after Wimbledon she said at the start of the compeition. Flip is still in the doubles section of the draw.

I agree, that kind of comment has no place in a Tennis Forum. Throw in a Y chromosome, that is really not kind. I think we can all do a little better, be a little kinder to each other. It's a tough world out there folks, I don't have tell anyone that but comments like that can only mess with an individual's head. Like Margaret said, "stick to actual tennis'"!

Thanks Ellentonboy for your comment, that poster rarely contributes on women's tennis,such a 'distasteful comment' hopefully the poster stays off the WTA post for good.I will continue to call out for any distasteful comments in the future.This is a tennis blog for starters, not for comments like that.

Concern should still be there though! No one wants to be called/labeled a "one hit wonder!" At least when Iva Majoli won hers in Paris, it made history by stopping Martina Hingis from achieving a CYGS in '97! There is a difference! I think many non slam winners wouldn't mind being called one slam wonders!
